***Week 8 GameDay Thread - Eagles @ Bengals***
(10-27-2024, 05:04 PM)bengalrick Wrote: Logan Wilson???!!!    Hilarious Hilarious

That's why I said maybe.
He's playing well overall, but he hasn't really been a big time playmaker this year.
He's also the defense's highest rated player according to PFF.
Prior to this season, he averaged ~3 INTs per season throughout his career.
And he has 1 FF this year and on pace for another year of >100 tackles.

For a team lacking playmakers, he's about the next closest they got unfortunately.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Look how Baltimore runs an offense with no timeouts!

If complete and utter incompetence, idiocy and embarrassment won SB's we would have about 30 Lombardi's at this point.

I genuinely hope they just sell the team.  Bengals football in no way shape or form is fun anymore.  I drag myself to the TV wondering how we are going to eff things up and lose every game.  No excitement, no cheering.  Just waiting for the implosion and they sure as shit didn't let me down today.

They will change NOTHING no matter how bad it gets.  It's the Brown family.  The root cause of the infection and there is no medication or cure.  The Brown family are like a disease that just slowly eats away fun and excitement.

We are halfway through this season.  It's over.  No matter what happens between now and next season I will have no hope, no excitement and I will expect what most likely will happen.  More losing, more wasting Burrow and Chase, more embarrassment.  Same coaches, crappy draft that everyone will get excited for (hope) and then the inevitable losing season will start again.

I'm done being Charlie Brown and Lucy (Brown family) pulling the ball away.  35+ years.  I'm done.  This season finally broke me.  Eff the Brown family.

Totally agree on every point.  Been 56 years for me.

Are we still winning the AFC North guys?

That is a season ending loss. I did predict we'd lose as I think the Eagles are just a team that require less from their top players than we do. But the nature of the loss... I mean that's just a blow out, no hiding it.

We are not close to being a playoff team this year. Beaten absolutely nobody.

I think we as fans give Zac enough leeway and we are fair

That 4th down call was just stupid

Not only do you throw it underneath to the one guy the defense will be focused on

Your dumbass MOTIONED him 1st which is basically a huge tell. If anything bunch 3WRs on that side and motion SOMEONE ELSE and have Chase stop right at the LOS.

Either Chase or that guy you motioned will be wide open

It’s like Zac understand she needs to use motion but he thinks you then have to throw it to that guy.

I said it before but I’ll say it again

Zac’s football knowledge tells him Cody Ford is a good backup tackle

If that isn’t all you need to know then idk what to tell you. Same guy who thought it was illegal to have backup WRs that both blocked AND were good pass catchers and would use whole roster spots for players that only have 1 role.

We carried 5 TEs on the active roster this year because Zac is a ****** who didn’t realize All is good enough with Sample and Gesicki

And speaking of Gesicki, we needed a good TE so what does Zac spearhead? The signing of a old ass him ass TE who doesn’t block so he’s somehow gotten the league to call him a Wr hybrid when in reality he’s just washed up

I wonder if all but 6 teams still want Zac.

They’ll still be talking about those two playoff runs 10 years from now.

I said almost the same thing earlier. Like Cowboy fans with a virgin trophy case.

Browns just beat the Ravens. I think Winston had more passing yards and TDs than Watson had all season before his injury. Tongue Ninja

If anyone thinks my ranting and feeling like this makes me happy and I am just a miserable person you couldn't be more wrong.  I am the guy who is always smiling, making jokes, having fun, laughing, making up stupid rhymes to make my kids laugh, etc, etc, and I have a great life and am very blessed.

Bengals football is about the only thing that brings me pain and misery.  I watched every game through the 90's, through the 2000's, the 2010's.  We get Burrow and Chase and finally it seems like the perpetual decade after decade of being a loser team with a loser FO with loser coaches and loser players was over.  It lasted 2 effing years.  2 EFFING YEARS.  And now it's back to the 90's, 2000's, 2010's AFTER 2 EFFING YEARS of fun.  I'm done.  I just cannot take this level of disappointment anymore.

TV just said 6 of the 8 games were decided by 8 points or less. Bengals were not one of them.

Our losses have generally been close, and we were previously able to say 'we're 3-4 plays away from being 4-1 rather than 1-4'.

Absolutely blown out at home today.
