PFF Grades - Week 9 Raiders
#1
I think this Joe Burrow guy could have a future...

Also, Matt Lee starting to be worked in a bit? I couldn't tell if he got snaps at center or guard? Volson continues to be inconsistent and at this point I think it's almost safe to say that Cappa's best days are behind him...

Maybe Treys best game ever. BJ Hill not a great performance but he was possibly hampered by injury? Going to be interesting to see how his week progresses.

That being said, I take these grades with a grain of salt. Bengals did what they needed to do against the Raiders, but make no mistake...that is a BAD football team.

He was the extra T on goalline plays (hence why he has LT as his position).

Not sure how they handled All. The worst player out there was by far Trayveon Williams. He was a total liability in pass protection - remember the play Burrow was yelling about and some of the board thought it was Volson? Nope. He was yelling at Williams who literally ignored his blocking assignment and ran out on a route. The OL all did it correctly - Williams caused the entire miscue.

I wonder if Lee got some snaps during mop up duty. Either that, or as a TE in heavy personnel since we're short on T's at the moment.

Trayveon Williams has absolutely no business being on this roster.

Well, it's not like he could have blocked anyone if he knew his assignment, anyways....

But yeah, Williams doesn't make the 53 on 31 out of 32 teams.

That's so bad. On the second clip that could have been a TD to Jamar if Joe had an extra half second.

I'm sure Simmons likes him for ST (he has 10 tackles with 8 of them solo over the previous 2 years) which is probably why he keeps making the roster, but he should never be in a position to be on the field for the offense. Apparently he also hasn't made a tackle yet this year on ST.

Chase Brown w/ a 14 on Pass Block. I think I could score a 15; I could get in the way of someone

This is the play where I thought he yelled something to Ted Karras but it could have been Volson (neither of their faults). Volson calls #41 and Williams is supposed to release but right before the snap #5 shows rush and Volson taps his helmet calls #5 so the RB knows to take #41 which didn't happen.

Joe was not happy from this play on because rhe operation just fell apart and had a few drops.

Wow, unreliable in multiple capacities, and they're paying that guy $1.3M...

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

Not sure who's fault it is but neither Volson or Williams block anyone and #41 got a free shot at Burrow

Joe wasn’t happy with Isovias on the pick 6 either.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Volson blocked correctly - the entire OL had their assignments and did them. Williams just ran off on a route even after being told to block 41.

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

Trayveon should be the guy in the dog house after that poor effort in pass protection. We need a pass protecting Back bad especially with
Moss being banged up and Chase Brown being bad at picking up the blitz.

They tried to run a center screen to Williams also in the 3rd quarter. the linemen all do their job and Williams went down the field and never looked to catch the ball. Joe was pissed and said something to him and then shook his head and rolled his eyes.

I was hoping to see Milton in the game more yesterday. I saw him down at the goal line, but he wasn't involved in the play.

Happy we got Milton. Hope to see him get more snaps against the Ravens.
