I truthfully think most don't care as long as they're getting paid.  They play like it

Make them make an all or nothing play. Worst case, we get the ball back.

No.  They are well coached and will stay in the field of play to allow the clock to run down.  Remember, this is the same coach who intentionally held on a punt play 3 times in a row so the punter could hold the ball as long as possible to run out the clock.
