Go Fund Me for Bill Belichick
#1
We're all sick of this, I'd rather pay into a statement to ownership than buy more game tickets this year. I know they haven't responded to protests but if the Reds can ger Francona maybe there is a shot. Pay the man and let him cook, step back and pay him to win the ring your family can't win. Take credit for it if you want, who cares. Good grief I'm so mad I'm talking to myself.

If there were anyone Mikey would ever hand the keys to it has to be him.  If he wants control and nobody will give it to him....it may be a dumb and dumber "chance" but better than sitting through Lou putting a soulless defense out at half, Zach leave points on the board on 3 4th down calls and Tobin draft players that don't develop.

i get what you're saying. but a real HC will never come to cincy b/c they'll never hand over the keys. closest we ever got to that was marvin. and that took a decade to do. marvin like zac when he leaves will never get another sniff as a HC. it's sad but it's true man.

Gimme both. Johnson HC calling plays with Vrabel DC.

And as long as we’re dreaming steal someone from the Chiefs FO and name him GM.

Or even the guy who cleans their front office.

Coaches also look at ownership. If you have a strong, proven track record, you will want a ton of control. Brown family won’t do that. Want someone happy to get a job with limited pedigree, you get what we got.

Mikey Boy and Duke hired Zac Taylor. Going from quarterback coach to head coach is like going from greenskeeper to coaching Tiger Woods.

With all due respect to Bellichick, I think his stye of coaching is outdated. His culture was entrenched in NE and it was fortified by 2 decades of winning. It would be tough for him to introduce that act to a new, young core of players. Also, most of his assistants that go on to HC jobs aren't very impressive.

I don't know who I would replace Zac with. On one hand I say let Joe decide what's most appealing to him. On the other, he still needs a HC to protect him from himself from time to time.

I used to think Zac was a great culture guy, but the sluggish Septembers are making me want to change my mind. It's happened too many times to be a coincidence.

Final point: I'd take a significantly expanded scouting dept over a new HC. The skeleton crew we've had in there since forever isn't enough to maintain a winning roster when you don't have the cap to pend in fa.

Belicheat's time was over the day Brady walked out the door. And he won't be coming here to coach because he won't be the GM.

All you have to do is to see what happened in New England AFTER Tom Brady left. GM and Head Coach Belichick fell apart. His coaching staff was in shambles, he couldn't draft, and he had disgruntled players.

Hiring him would be going backwards not forwards

If Mcdaniels gets fired by Dolphins. He would be a perfect fit. He would get us a running game and if he can be explosive coaching Dolphins. He would feel our offense would be a upgrade over what he presently has.

The guy has 8 SB rings and he only managed to make the playoffs with Mac Jones as his QB once in two tries, what a bum.

Ben Johnson at HC
Mike Vrabel or Robert Saleh at DC
Hire 10 scouts
Everything in this post is my fault.

I think that's probably best realistic case.

The most realistic case is HC - Zac Taylor.

We are only good right now because of a #1 overall pick QB and a #4 overall pick WR.  By the time Bill Bellyache "lost it" he was the GM and HC of a franchise that hadn't picked that high in back to back years since 1994.

Again, Bill ain't coming here but I feel like ZT will also lose a step after we make 10 SBs and Burrow retires and we've been picking in the late 20's or later for the bulk of two decades and we replace Burrow with a Mac Jones-caliber QB.
