Yeah, the defense was atrocious. Anyone blaming Taylor is barking up the wrong tree. The Bengals scored a ton of points. The defense was horrific in the 2nd half.
I'm writing from India and was glad to be able to watch a close game. But for the refs to miss two calls on the two-point conversion is a bad look for the NFL. I'm glad the announcers and rules analyst pointed it out so clearly.

Yup disgusting.
That 84 yd TD given up to Wallace sums his defense up perfectly this season for me (3 missed tackles):
- CTB missed the tackle
- Wilson who had previously given up on the play gets back in it to try and push him out of bounds instead of tackle.
- Geno Stone gave up on the play and then proceeds to miss a tackle.
Unbelievable

I really kind of just wish I could go back to the Peter Gibbons Zen state I was in between 2016 and 2020 after the Steelers meltdown when I literally couldn’t give one **** less week to week.
Caring again ***** sucks.

They seem intent on slow-walking us all back to that point.

Except the coach has to keep control of the ball since his D cannot stop them. But Taylor just makes head scratching decisions routinely. He’s like a 12 year old kid playing Madden.

Exactly.
But the real dumb one was 21-20. Assuming Mac makes (big if), 24-20. After Baltimore's TD, they have to kick the PAT up 2. 27-24. After we score, 31-27 with 38 seconds left. They need a TD. Game over.
ZT costs us 3-7 per close game. He's a moron.

Burrow was destroyed after nearly every throw. We got one call, just because it was so obvious with the undercut. I don’t agree with going for 2 but there are a lot of legit reasons. Season is pretty much over so why not, Mac/holding has been shaky, Balt still had 2 TO’s against our D against our D (reasons a poster already mentioned)
The fumble absolutely killed us. Gave them life. That last play was one of the worst officiated plays ever. At least 3 obvious penalties. We can’t beat the officials and our coaching staff. We just can’t.

Dude...
We had 3 penalties.
The Ravens had 11.
EVERY review that happened in the game went our way.
Bengals fans complaining about officiating after that makes us look soft as hell. Make a stop, actually tackle someone. Don't need the refs to make your meal AND feed it to you too.

We finish 6-11, don't even get a good draft pick.
No, worse. They’ll get to 8-9 wins, putting them at like the 15th/16th pick in the draft. When they draft in that range, there’s not a slam dunk prospect and they struggle mightily. They literally only know how to draft a top 5 guy .

We have beaten the Ravens including the playoffs, but without Lamar.

In their entire history, the Bengals have never ever ever won an OT game with a touchdown.
Ever.

Bengals have been rewriting history lately, both good and bad.
