Has Chase peaked
(10-24-2024, 01:29 PM)Whatever Wrote: There were.  Multiple folks comped him to a prime Mike Williams, as well.

Pretty nutz. I liked the pick in the 7th round for his size and the way Auden went up for the ball, but he was a 7th round pick for a reason
with his complete lack of speed. The guys that were calling for him to play TE actually had a point but that never happened. Ja'Marr Chase
is the best WR in the NFL right now and should be praised for it. We target him more, we win more, simple as that.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Not sure which looks worse, this thread, or not getting his deal done early when they had the chance.

Ja'Marr bet on himself, took out an insurance policy, and is going to make out big time. The front office gambled and lost. (Except they didn't personally lose. They gambled with the future success of the franchise, not with their own money.)

Does last night's offensive performance reinforce that Burrow to Chase and others can survive without Tee?

Pay Chase, move on from Tee, and then put the money not used for Tee into the defense.

He HAS peaked. His off season value won’t go any higher after this season. Bro’s gonna want $40M app and I guarantee someone would pay that happily. We should have paid him when it was around $35M. We better sign him!

It's going to be interesting because there is no one else in the league that can push Ja'Marrs contract up with Jefferson signed. He may only get 36 or 36.5.

If he has peaked, then it is a HoF, all-world, & GOAT type of peak.

That is what is crazy, I still think he will just get better and could be the greatest WR of all time.

His strength, balance, quicks, run away speed, route running, instincts are as elite as there has ever been.

Burrow also will of course help him to become the best. Pay the man.

Yes... He's at the pinnacle of the wide receiver heap.

Called it this past summer by the way.

Just found something on nfl.com that i didn't know they still had. Looks like they just changed it up a bit from what they used to have.

I don't know if you'll be able to see this if you don't have NFL+

That sucks. Sad

It's just the All 22 of each of Ja'Marr's catches from the sideline and EZ view. Something i used to look up in the past but thought they got rid of; being able to choose a specific player and see only their snaps.

Chase is on an absolutely rampage and I am all for tooting the horn on how great he is, but come on now, need to keep it close to reality....

If Chase keeps up his current season's pace and then never gets hurt again while averaging 1,700 yard/15 TD seasons EACH OF THE NEXT TEN YEARS (through his age 34 season) he would still be shy of Jerry Rice's career yardage and TDs total.

The difference between Jerry Rice and the all-time #2 career receiving yards and #2 career receiving TDs is a larger number than Chase currently has for either in his career right now.

(Chase has been the best WR in the NFL this year, but his current ypg is just 0.6 higher than Justin Jefferson's career average ypg. Smoking him in TDs though, but getting smoked in wins.)
