You can hate Taylor all you want, but his family should be off limits.... people need to get a grip with professional sports. This is just like the Stealers fans who get their self-worth out of a team's success just so they can have bragging rights at work.

Quote:The Cincinnati Bengals are likely regretting their slow start to the NFL season after dropping their sixth game in a crushing 35-34 loss against the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football.
For the fifth time this year, the Bengals put up over 30 points of offense, in large part due to quarterback Joe Burrow and wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase's elite production. But, in the end, the team came up short on a failed two-point conversion try that sealed the game.
In light of Cincinnati's latest defeat, coach Zac Taylor’s wife, Sarah, shared an emotional message to fans on social media.
“I am in rage mode right now and should delete Instagram,” Taylor wrote. “I just want people to know how hard this is to watch. My husband went to work on Monday at 5:15 am. Spent the night at the stadium. Came home Tuesday at 11 p.m. Left for Baltimore Wednesday and will get home at 4 a.m. tomorrow. He'll work all day tomorrow bc they have a game Sunday.
“My kids haven't seen him since Sunday. He had the perfect game plan. Brooks was mad at me for watching the last play with my head under the covers and I said I'm sorry people will say stuff to me everywhere I go for the next week and he said 'me too mom get over it.' I don't know how these coaches and players do it but the best thing I can do is move on like them.”
While Zac Taylor has faced some backlash for his decision to go for two on the game’s final play, the Bengals’ loss was arguably more affected by controversial officiating. Al Michaels and other members of NFL media didn’t hold back on the referees, and rules analyst Terry McAulay even admitted on-air that the Ravens got away with at least two penalties on the game-deciding two-point try.
In any case, the team’s recent defeat is no excuse for fans to harass Taylor’s family. The Bengals (4-6) will look to turn their season around against the Los Angeles Chargers next week before entering the bye.

Zac Taylor is a good guy ..But hes getting paid millions of bucks to do a job..one that at any level pee wee leagues on up will come with criticism.. I was somewhat confused when I saw her reaction the other day..Is she mad because of the criticism or has someone actually gone to their house or attacked her publically..face to face..

So from the article nothing was said to Zac Taylor's family. It's his wife angry that fans are angry at Zac's play calling.
Nothing to see here.

I get it comes with the territory, but the article clearly states fans say shit to the family.

I'm guessing his children hear things from other kids at school.

If you read the article, it is quites obvous she is getting harassed on social media and her kid are catching it at school. Taylor is fair game for criticism, his family is not. Anyone that supports that is scum...IMO.

It's unfortunate and wrong for his wife and kids to endure harassment at the hands of fans/trolls.
With that said, I think you'd be hard pressed to find any fanbase of a losing NFL (or any sport for that matter) team that doesn't have similar issues.
If she think's it's bad here, imagine being married to a losing coach in New York or Philly.
It's a hard job. There are only 32 of them available and competition is heavy. It's not right, but in a society where social media rules over everything, complaining about vocal and asinine fanbases is like yelling at clouds.

Some idiot fans did the same thing to Dan Campbell's family after the Dallas game last year even going as far as showing up at their house. He ended up selling the house and moving to one that was more secure.

So what if they say worse things in NY or Philly
LEAVE THE FAMILIES ALONE!!!!
They have no impact on the game, Say what you want on social media but it doesn't have to be directed to the spouses or children of the players or coaches.

Yeah, it doesn't and it shouldn't, but it is. It's probably going to get worse. We live in a troll society at every level.

People really do suck. I remember when I saw Katie and Troy Blackburn out to eat one night with a group of people a few years ago and I could have easily said something when I walked past their table. I held my tongue because it’s the right thing to do despite having years of grievances I would have loved to share with them.
At least the Taylor’s son sounds like he has his head on right, and just lets it roll off his back. Good for him. But they obviously shouldn’t have to deal with it in the first place.

Yeah, nobody's family should be getting implicated with this crap. Zac Taylor seems like a really decent guy, but even if he wasn't, our ire shouldn't be directed at people who are related to him. It's fair game to be critical of his decision making and ability to coach the team, but people really need to remember this is just a game. We're all emotionally into this (probably more than is healthy really) and it sucks when we lose, but christ... how much do our lives really change if the Bengals go 20-0 or 0-17... not really at all. Some people really have to grow up.

The part about all the hours they put in and having the perfect gameplay.
Unfortunately time put in doesn't equal success.
People are cruel though. Especially on social media. Unfortunate. Probably common for coaches though. I'd guess a lot don't go on there.
The fanbases honeymoon with Zac is over.

He's a good guy just in over his head probably. Burrow helps a ton.
But, not letting an OC call plays. And the way the Bengals draft and scout is a lot for anyone to overcome.

Hate is a beautiful flower that will grow and grow with each dumb choice made by Zac.
It is what it is nothing new to see here this is a story played out year after year in the NFL.
Is it right to do no Zac is the one that deserves the backlash not his family.
But as others have said it is a rough cruel world out there full of trolls it is not going to stop.
