Bengals Win Out + Colts Beat the Broncos... We are all potentially 10-7, AND WE IN?

more than either and that was why he was my guy for the future. Will be interesting seeing how they all play over the years. If Mims
got a decent RG next him I think it would help. Cappa looks washed and has given up.

I would bench Cappa and move Ford over to RG once Orlando comes back.
Whoa...don't go that far.

Ford has allowed 24 total pressures in just 218 pass block snaps.
Cappa - 27 total pressures in 480 pass block snaps (more than double).

Don't go crazy now  Shocked
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Yeah, Ford is pretty bad. For a 4th Tackle, he's ok. But, he's not a starter.

Ford also has played LT, facing much better pass rushers.

maybe a new "Jungle Gloom" can be created so that everyone can spew negativity constantly, as that seems to be the popular thing these days.

Great post Wildcat. Same way I feel, I don't understand living off of spewing negativity like lots on here do.

It is bad enough to have a losing season.

Exactly, and once we are officially out of the Playoffs I will rotate to the Draft forum mostly because all of the negativity in here.

That way I can stay positive for the future. Being negative about it is counter productive in life in general.

Gets rough in here, but rotate to the Draft Forum if you want some positivity for the future like I said. I prefer solutions.

I can't imagine having zero faith and still following the team.  But then again, you are brought joy by all the negativity, so I suppose it checks out.

That was a perplexing post alright. Being brought joy by negativity? Sounds like he is in the upside down world and loves it.

You're gonna make me do it...

Cody Ford by year:
2021 (RG) - 323 pass block snaps, 2 sacks and 26 total pressures
2022 (LG/RT) - 242 pass block snaps, 3 sacks and 20 total pressures
2023 (LT/RG) - 31 pass block snaps, 0 sacks and 2 total pressures
2024 (LT/RT) - 218 pass block snaps, 1 sack and 24 total pressures
------------------------------------------
814 pass block snaps, 6 sacks and 72 total pressures

For comparison, Cappa had 716 pass block snaps last year, 4 sacks and 35 total pressures

Ford is an emergency fill-in who can play a variety of spots, but he's not really good anywhere. He gives up a ton of pressures no matter where he plays.

That's because it is a team sport. Burrow won't be quitting...

We all know Ford has been bad for years Ocho and that Cappa used to be good. All I am saying is we need a change on the IOL.

Cappa looks like he has gave up, at least Ford hasn't been a total liability at LT which is honestly easy to do going against the best pass
rushers and I cannot believe I am even saying this. Cappa needs to step up and be what he used to be. I am done with Volson, we need
change if it continues to be this bad in front of Burrow and in run blocking.

The best part is some people thinking having positive attitudes or negative attitudes on a MB will somehow affect the team's performance.

The team will perform whether fans are optimistic or pessimistic.

At the end of the day, this MB is an interaction with other individuals.
Fans should be able to voice their optimism or pessimism.
With that said, it should also be expected that individuals with opposing viewpoints may push back occasionally rather than always just being accepting, and that's also ok.
When you post, you are doing so knowing that you may get into a back-and-forth with some individual(s) with a different opinion.

For me personally, I don't really care if people agree with my viewpoints or not, nor do I care if someone comes at me for being pessimistic or optimistic.
Imma post if I want  Smirk

Absolutely agreed.

But the, "pessimism," isn't in the form of discussion or refuting points or anything, it's taking shots at the guy and ridiculing him for discussing a legitimate point.

That's a shit attitude and I will call that out 11/10 times, ESPECIALLY when the, "victim," isn't being aggressive or antagonistic themselves.

I'm not in the camp of "change it up for the sake of changing it up."
If there is a guy who is an unknown quantity, I can see trying him out, but we know what Cody Ford is and isn't.

Heck, I'd rather give Matt Lee an opportunity somewhere on the IOL than see Cody Ford and his sub-55.0 PFF grade every year in his career go out there as a full-time starter the rest of the year. At least Matt Lee has looked good in the limited times we have seen him. Plus, he needs some opportunities if he's going to be a future starter.

But also, we need to stop praying for a miracle with this season, especially if it involves injecting Cody Ford as a starter the rest of the way.
Trying to have Cody Ford come in and save the season isn't something that's a reality.
He's had 6 seasons to show the NFL who he is, and he's been consistent at showing it. He's not starter material, period.
And after 6 seasons, he's not gonna magically improve.

If anyone is going to come in and turn around a season, it's going to be one of the young bucks who hasn't had a chance to really show themselves yet.

Yes Cappa and Volson both need to go. I'm not totally sold that Karras isn't in the need to go category as well though? Would Karras do better at LG next season with a much better supporting cast around him? Or even still C? perhaps?

For that matter will Mims pan out? But bottom line we have to get our Oline fixed, IMHO that's priority #1

And I highly doubt any move is going to magically turn this season around.
