Do Downtown Bars Card At The Door Before Games?
#1
A friend of mine is only 20 and going to the game Sunday. She wants to meet up before the game and neither of us know anyone tailgating. Do the bars card at the door so she could be in there with us while we drink (she wouldn't be drinking).

She's a Steelers fan but she's cool as hell.

She works the front desk at the gym I go to and goes to the college I went to across the street from me, so that's how I know her (I'm not creeping on a 20-year-old).

Does anyone know?!

Yeah that's what someone just told me but it's supposed to be around 56 and it's open container down there, so it shouldn't be a problem.

Only problem is that I don't drink beer, but I could settle for White Claw or something.

Americas obsession with asking people for ID to have a beer never fails to make me laugh.

Last year after the colts game my wife forgot hers and one of the bars on the banks refused to let her in so went across to the fishbowl place played dumb that we are English and they were fine. Returned to the original bar an hour or so later and slipped the doorman a 5 and all was well, nice to know they can be bought so cheaply. LOL

Could actually do with some good bar recommendations for after games for next year the banks as good as it is gets a bit samey after all these years.

Yea you can just hop in and get a beer and go back outside.

There's also tons of pop up beer/selzter stations where you don't even need to enter a bar. Ironically they don't ID that often Lol.

It's all about liability. Americans are stupid, and I don't mean just me. It has gotten better though because kids today are so sheltered and such *******.

A 20-year-old girl with her family at the Bengals game though, I agree, but then it's also like where do you draw the line?

Because it takes time and time is money lol

How is the tailgate scene this year?

I still remember back 15 and 20 years ago when it was insane.

As for bars after, I haven't been down much recently, but Mainstrasse in Covington and the bars in Newport were always a good time. Over-The-Rhine and Clifton always had good bars, but then I don't know how those areas are now because I haven't been up there in years besides just driving through on my way to schools, which I never pay much attention.

It was good earlier in the year not expecting it to be fun here on out.

The Steelers games and atmosphere before are usually a good time, regardless of records, especially next week, when we need to win or we're out.
