If Cleveland Beat Steelers, So Can Bengals
#21
People acting like the stealers were unbeatable were crazy. It isn't a hard formula on how to beat them. Slow down their
run game, BJ, Kris and McKinnley have shown they are getting better against the run, get after Russ which Trey and Murphy
can do and on Offense just don't let Twatt and Heyward take over.

Benching Volson and Cappa might help once Orlando is back. Put Lee at Center to get him in the lineup, move Karras to LG
and put Ford at RG and the trenches could look much better with how everyone is playing. We will see.

Not going to pick us to win as I think the season is pretty much over but I could see us beating them in a close one like the
Browns did.

Steelers will be hunting Burrow. Hope he makes it out uninjured.

Season is over. Might be wise to just rest Burrow the rest of the year.

Paul Brown doesn't know how to drive a Bengal car.

0 -3 in the playoffs.  Wink

I never expect the Bengals to get anything but the Steelers' best shot, regardless of win/loss records. This just means they're coming in pissed and with a little more incentive to win. Guess we'll see if that means anything.

Fans can tank for the draft.   However any players or coaches who tank for the draft should not only be fired, they should be drawn and quartered.  At the least, Ticket Holders and TV Networks should sue the pants off players and teams that get caught tanking for the draft.  The draft is about the season, the season is not about the draft. I do understand that all the losing seasons left some fans Bengalized into tanking for the draft every year concept.  You don't lose on purpose, and also the draft has way too many busts that never pan out, so you do not lose games on purpose.

So.....BEAT THE STEELERS......If for no other reason, the Bengals owe Steelers a few losses as pay backs to all the cheap hits over the years.

We won’t beat browns again. The only reason we won, is because Watson started the game. When Winston came in, he drove them down the field for a TD.

The only Q B’s we beat are not starting any more, because the sucked.

I noticed 2 more fine on penalties hits against the Bengals, by the chargers. What a surprise? How about the Refs, doing their job in the game, this is getting old.

Why? They beat the Ravens as well.

A key is going to be can Bengals get a running game gong against Steelers Defense.  I think Burrow with Chase and Higgins will be passing, but you need to move the ball on the ground also. or at least those screen passes to Chase Brown with blockers like a sweep.

Chase Brown is not Chubb, but if Chase Brown and the O Line can grind out some yards on Steelers D, it will help Burrow, Chase, Higgins beat Steelers.

Another key, which Bengals defense shows up.  The one that plays good, or the one where Britt plays and plays lousy giving up more big plays than any DB in NFL.

I love this idea but I don't see Pollack doing it.  He's too loyal to his guys no matter how crappy they play.  Id love to see Matt Lee in the lineup because our guard play is pathetic at the moment.  Tackles will be fine if OBJ is back Mims has been holding his own but he's gonna need some serious help vs TJ Watt.

All you doomers in this thread must know more than Vegas because we are 2.5 point favorites.  If you really believe what you say bet the Steelers ML and make some cash for extra Christmas presents.  As long as we got Burrow and Chase/Tee we got a shot to beat anyone in the league.  This season has been awful but we were a bunch of fluke BS stuff away from beating Ravens twice, Chiefs and Chargers.  Just seems we have the anti-clutch gene this year.

Agreed. And there are teams that always draft late each round, or at least never early, and still manage better drafts than the Bengals and keep winning every year. Getting somewhat earlier draft picks gives hope to the Bengals fans, but so often is fools gold.

Ryan Leaf....and Bengals had Jack Thompson, Akili Smith.  Ki Jana Carter and Greg Cook got career injured early.  How high did we draft to get Klinger or Klingler ?  How about the top pick WR that was suppose to be so fast and fans wanted a race between him and Reds Hamilton.  Hamilton couldn't hit, and Ross couldn't catch a cold.  Let's not forget first round center out of Ohio State who was suppose to be so great, and was a flop.  The first round Left Tackle out of Alabama that was a flop.  Some first round cornerbacks around same time who were flops.  Yes, Fans sure get excited and want to lose every game to get their hands on more over rated college players who can't cut the mustard in the Pros.  Sometimes you get a Munoz, but more often you get a lump of coal in your Christmas stocking.

Beat Steelers and forget about the over rated Draft for now.  We both agree.
