***Week 13 GameDay Thread - Steelers @ Bengals***
(12-01-2024, 06:56 PM)cinci4life Wrote: There was just less than 1:50 left. If you take the penalty it's 2nd down all over and they basically run out the clock. Declining leaves it at 3rd down and the clock starting at the snap. If they hold then the 4th down play is with 1 minute left. If they get a stop on 4th or they punt Bengals have just under a minute to get a winning TD.

Like I said, I’d probably still take Burrow with any amount of time remaining versus trusting the defense with 3rd and 4. I guess the coaches had more confidence in the defense somehow.

Chase was the right call, but it sure does show how damn near the only good parts of this team are due to being the worst team in the NFL and being the only team allowed to draft Burrow and then Burrow getting IR-ed so hard that we had the chance to draft either Chase or Sewell.

Once you get out of #1 or #4 and our front office has to start wondering if John Ross is better than Patrick Mahommes or TJ Watt, things get a little too tricky.

We have the Best WR top 5 QB 2 top 20 T Top 5 DE no way our record should be what it is. If Zac isn't gone it's going to affect my enthusiasm for next year. I may become a causal fan instead of hardcore fan. If the organization isn't emotionally invested why should I be?

I’m good w these contender teams winning the SB:
Detroit
Houston (so Mixon gets the last laugh on Mikey)
Chargers (to prove to Mikey how important it is to have a legit HC)
Philly
Minnesota
Bills
Seattle
Washington
Green Bay

No way in heck to:
Stoolers
Rats
Chiefs

I think it's a bit weirdly amusing seeing people absolutely lose their minds when the Chiefs win.  If we aren't going to be in the mix, may as well watch the NFL go a route that causes people to lose their minds.

It's interesting to wonder if in the ultra negative social media age the general population just can't handle dynasties.  Seeing people get upset about the Chiefs or the Patriots before that just has "kid at a friends birthday party throwing a fit watching his friend open up presents" energy.  Just my 2 cents.  I don't even know anything about Taylor Swift outside of this, I assumed she sang "Let It Go."

Don't care who the QB is. You're not pulling off any miracles from your 5 yard line with just 10 seconds left at most.

Our tackles aren't top 20. Brown may be. Miss is good for a rookie, but he's not a top 20 tackle.

Our issues aren't at the top of the roster. Players about 7 down almost all are average or less. Some are bad.

And our coaches aren't that good.

Will suck for the Bengals, but I hope Burrow, Chase and Higgins find their way to a real NFL team before the Brown family ruins them.

Once you realize the FO is the root cause of the problem and that they will never change, it's hard to not just give up.  What's the point if it's impossible to solve the problem?  Why keep trying?  It's pointless.

Another positive spin for Zac Taylor, what a surprise. A 1 score game, and we were close.

Tired of this same old story.

If that is indeed the case, who knows how fans handle it.  It took 14 seasons for people to come around to Palmers side, so who knows.
