***Week 13 GameDay Thread - Steelers @ Bengals***

Yep. He's somehow even worse than Volson at LG.

This team's awful.

I don't mean to criticize. It's a free service here right? Nobody asked me to be here, and I'm not contributing much. But... what's going on with this message board? So far as I know, there's not another viable competing board. So, it would be nice if we could talk about different topics in different threads, right? Times like these, after a tough loss are usually the times of greatest engagement by the fans. There's only 70 users on here right now. Why is the Jungle Board not open?

Where are people discussing the Bengals? Youtube comments, Twitter, and Reddit? It should be here, is all I'm saying, but a single game thread isn't a very user friendly experience to wade through. Hope all's well with the administrators, and thanks for the previous good times and lively discussions.

How did Cincy open as a 6 point favorite against Dallas?

Dude you still have 0 posts after I've replied to 2...but here's some rep.

OK, now I realize why JN is closed.

I'm not worse at LG that Volson

I have pulled my punches with respect to the Front Office but I can no longer hold back. Mike Brown may be a frugal gentleman but he’s running the team like it’s 1964, not 2024. Mikey Boy has his franchise quarterback in Joe Burrow but a franchise quarterback alone isn’t enough to win in the 21st century. Despite the NFL’s love for high scoring offenses defense still wins championships.

The most disheartening thing is all the draft picks on defense seem to suck.

Yes, then tipped a bit higher by Tee.

Wasn't a bad play by Burrow. Bengals have 99 problems, but Burrow aint' one. Anyone bringing him up is trolling or just hating on Burrow. He had some horrible games in his career, but he has been on a fantastic level of play, this year. If Burrow went down game one, we may be 0-12, realistically. Seems like most of the big plays were Burrow creating on his own as everything around him isn't working. Those two LSU boys are playing by themselves out there, quite a bit. With a 60 minute game of 11v11, it just isn't enough.

Burrow is a winner. He is on the front street of losing now, and hates it. What does that mean? Hell if any of us know. Quitting on the team? Nah, I don't see that. My fear is he will trust everyone who already created this mess to fix it. Just don't know if that means he pushes the franchise. Palmer was that kind of guy. Of course Dalton wasn't.

They can't scout or develop.

Now that’s some stuck in 1964 shit right there.

Well balanced teams win championships. KC has Mahomes + Spags. NE had Brady + Belichick. You need BOTH.

They are similar to the '85 Bears.....today....as a bunch of guys in their 60's.

But, overall we don't have guys that want to hit. A guy like Burgict would help this teams mentality. We don't have that guy.

We don't have anyone on defense. Trey gets his sack numbers, but when he's not getting home he's invisible. I can't believe Lou still has a job. He'll never get another coordinator gig when they finally do can him.

The guy coaching them certainly does.

They should have fired him over bye.

Is it really on Lou though? The poor drafting and not resigning people is on the  FO and not him.

I don't think Lou is the solution but he's not the main problem either.

Fair or not Lou isn’t good enough to overcome the FO shortcomings. The only hope is to find someone who can. They aren’t going to change.

The whole waiting to unlock JN after a loss is getting tiring.

It’s absolutely on Lou. The way Pitt kept exploiting the fact that the bengals were not covering the RB underneath is a perfect example. It was so bad the announcers called it out
