It was during a segment with Van Pelt. He also was expressing the sentiment of: What the hell is up with Burrow getting mauled and no calls by the refs?

This needs to change. Aikman calling it out should help. All the refs across the NFL need to be called out for the way they ignore Joe 
Burrow getting maimed all the time and not getting calls. It would be different if they missed it a few times here and there but Joe never
gets the call and he never complains. I respect Joe a bunch for this, but others, namely the refs need to be accountable.

I just watched a highlight reel of Josh Allen's flops to get calls, where the smallest contact draws an exaggerated response -- falling down, flailing with his arms, etc. I'm glad that Burrow has more integrity for the game and himself to not do that. But if Burrow is going to not complain and exaggerate hits, and instead shows respect for the game and his opponents, then someone else needs to stand up for him. Maybe now with Aikman calling them out it will get some traction.

Zac getting more vocal with the refs will help.  But, maybe the offensive line needs to start reacting when their QB gets illegally abused,  Afterall it is their fault the defense is in position to get at Joe in the first place.  I know Joe is tough but he also has to be a better advocate for his own portection

If there is one thing about Allen's game I find a bit annoying it is the flops and acting. Same with Mahomes.

I like my QB and the way he goes about it. Old school, it isn't his fault the refs don't do their jobs. You shouldn't get calls for acting and flopping IMO.

Zac for sure needs to get more vocal for his QB, same with the OL, we need Whit types to fight for their guy.

I don't think it is in Joe to be that type of advocate for himself. He is a no nonsense tough sumbitch, just the way he is.

And really glad the Bengals got the win!  Normally I don't stay up for Monday Night Football, because need to be up at 6 the next day for work, but this was a spectacular and thoroughly enjoyable game and I couldn't stop watching. It also put both Burrow and Chase solidly in the NFL lead for QB and WR passing yards. It was a clinic last night for communication between those two.

If we were in the playoff hunt (or if we somehow make it with a lot of help), I think Burrow wins the MVP easily (and wins me a few grand from the Sportsbook in Hard Rock in Cnici)!

True, have to move on to the next play for sure. Hope we don't see those refs again, it was about as bad of refs as I have seen 
this year. Phantom calls all over the place and then ignoring blatant penalties. It was bad.

Last night's Hard Knocks episode showed the full Zac Taylor reaction to the facemask and him calling out the refs. He's doing it, they just aren't showing it. He looked the ref right in the eye and told him "I know you saw it, he turned his head all the way around"
