Khalil Herbert: The butt of Buck and Aikman's joke
#21
Mixon ran into the "backs" of Olinemen all the time. Well not all the time, but enough that we complained about it.

I guess it's how he gets the average.   A bunch of short yardage and a couple of 20-30 yard runs.

Aikman, who did not endear himself to me the way he talked about a lot of things Monday night, was talking about that effect with Chase Brown.

He had a very well rounded evening against the Cowboys which I thought was pretty typical of his running stats.   Plus, most running backs have that kind of yardage rhythm.

He had very little nice to say except about Joe.

On his first ever snap from scrimmage as a Bengal, he fumbled the ball. Now he's getting butt-tackled by Cody Ford, much to the mirth of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman's amusement.

That was more on Ford than Herbert from what I saw, there was no where to go, Ford got pushed right back into Herbert.

Herbert has had a nice run and has been a good returner for us. Hope we bring him back in the Offseason if he shows some more good things.

Still want a RB that is a pounder that can pass protect in the Draft. Would love Cam Skattebo RB Arizona State but I don't know how early he will
go in this next Draft. This would be much better than what we saw from Zack Moss this year who didn't even pass protect like I had hoped.

Yeah, Zack performed like a hired hand, not like he wanted to claim that starting role as his own. Luckily Chase Brown is up to the challenge and Herbert make a nice addition to the team. I really do like Herbert, I was just having a little fun with the butt-tackle thing with it's relevance to the now infamous butt-fumble.

Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations
