I think that’s them trying to save face with all the horribly bad missed calls that are still pulling fines. After the fact people asking more questions why it wasn’t called to begin with.

The NFL desperately needs to add ref reviews for missed calls - maybe via extending the ability to throw a red flag? Not sure but too many calls / non calls costs teams games.
