Myles said the other day he wants no part of returning to Cleveland on a rebuild. He was pretty chummy today with both Burrow and Hendrickson. Is he looking South? One can hope, him and Trey on the same line with Jenkins Jr. and Hill would be something. Of course, there's the money thing.

I like fantasy GM'ing and would gladly take him on the Bengals. Offer them a 3rd and Burton.

Ah, ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha! Do you really think that he's leaving Cleveland?

Don't see it happening and there's the key.
Even if the Browns would somehow be willing to trade Garrett to a division rival they'll have to play at least twice a year (unlikely) you're asking Mike Brown to give up at least a 1st round pick and 2nd round pick who are cost controlled cheap rookie contracts in order to get and pay Myles Garrett at least $20m (probably more as he's almost certainly going to want an extension wherever he goes) on top of giving Hendrickson an extension.... on top of paying Chase a mountain of cash.
If you ask Mike Brown to trade a 1st and 2nd round pick and spend $200m in guaranteed money for Garrett+Hendrickson+Chase, he might live another 20 years out of spite to prevent anyone else from owning the team.

Look at his contract. They restructured it in 2023 and converted his future salaries to prorated signing bonuses. Look at the dead cap even if he is traded after June 1st. I don't think he is going anywhere next year.

He could retire, and the Browns will still be covering cap hit for him for 4 years.

He could but he'd still be leaving a good size chunk of money on the table in roster bonuses and other bonuses. Maybe that isn't important to him having earned what he has.
Anyway even if the Browns are willing to eat that dead cap I don't see them trading him to an AFCN rival. Who knows? The Browns are not exactly known for making great decisions. But I guess if the offer was good enough they wouldn't care.

True, but as Leonard Leap noted, I can't see the Bengals giving up the draft capital in addition to the huge deal he would want upon arrival.

Yeah I agree. I was just trying to cover the bases there before someone came in and said "well if they offered enough.." I don't see it happening and I don't necessarily think being friendly with opposing players means he wants to play for them.

I doubt Garrett would ask for that huge of a deal. He probably, just wants to contend for a title. Draft capital is probably the biggest issue regarding to a deal happening.

Garrett has only been in the league for 7 years, I'm sure that he and his agent view him as a player with another max level deal in him.

Ok, so I see he is still under contract. When I heard him say he was not interested in returning to Cleveland to rebuild, I thought he was up for a new contract. That said, with his ongoing leg issues, I don't really see him getting another long-term contract with huge guarantees, and I think he knows that. He's secured his financial future and HOF bid, I think he just now wants to go out a winner. Probably never happen, but it doesn't hurt to dream. We have to pay Trey his bag anyway.

Yeah, nice to dream about, but Myles is still under contract with Cleveland and we have to pay Trey. I would love to see him come here and
with his feet problems he shouldn't be near as expensive as otherwise, but it is highly unlikely.

Exactly
I mean it's nice to dream. But there's not a snow balls chance in hell.

Chummy like when Garrett pancaked Burrow out of bounds on the sideline today? lol
