Good to see Yoshi grading out well. His deep ball he caught on Ward might not have been the best play of the day (has to be the falling TD to Tee or the Mahomes-esque play to Sample) but it was the easily the nicest throw and catch of the day for sure. Especially when you consider who was covering him.

Chase Brown’s evolution in the passing game (both as a receiver and blocker) has been remarkable.

Notice Jenkins, Jackson, and Murphy weren't as great as people thought.

Those numbers, especially Jackson and Jenkins' pass rush, are well above where they are YTD.
Jackson YTD: 46.7; Browns 63.6
Murphy YTD: 56.6; Browns 62.8;
Jenkins YTD: 52.3; 54.7 Pass Rush; Browns 59.6, Pass Rush 68.2
It is progress.

The Browns OL like ours is hurt by injuries. But it is progress it appears which is good for a 2nd year players and 2 rookies.
2024 may go on record as one of most underperforming teams in Bengal history. Bengal's FO has major work to do on defensive side of the ball. I say tag and trade Tee Higgins in 2025 to start with the rebuild.

No one is saying it is. But Jenkins had two sacks, & Jackson one. Jackson had a forced fumble (that should have been a TD) last week. Heck, even Johnson had a sack/forced intentional grounding.
If we can get competent level play out of Jackson Jenkins, and Murphy, it is progress and a big win.

I watched Trey Hendrickson get stonewalled by Fred Johnson earlier this season. I’ll gladly take our rookies getting wins against whoever it is.

CTB has continued to be solid ever since they humbled him and put him on the bench. I think moving forward he and the MSU duo will make a fine boundary rotation.
Seems we may be trying to do with Ivey what we used to do w/ Flowers
I was rooting for Newton, but IDT it's going to workout
The rookie is already our 2nd best OL. Hopefully Pollack doesn't coach him up too fast

Wow, those tackling grades for Pratt, ADG and Ossai...

Unless I'm reading it wrong, McKinnley Jackson's overall PFF grade on defense would place him right behind Chase Brown on offense, if there is any way to compare the grades of offense and defense. It seems like a pretty decent score to me, tbh.
And I looked up DJ Readers PFF score for 2024 (66.7) and the score for Jackson last game (63.6) is close to that. I don't know what you want from a rookie.

I sure hope they are turning a corner. But I'm not getting all geeked up over our defense "improving" while playing two of the worst teams in the league.
Here's to hoping they're going to develop into good players next season

Chase Brown is turning into a true blue RB#1. One of the best in NFL over last several games.

While it's not time to anoint them as future stars just yet, these are the type of games that build their confidence and the development takes another step forward.

This is what we needed to see from Iosivas. That is a hands catch that shows he is coming around to being a decent WR.

He has improved nicely from rookie to year two, and it shows in both the quality of catches made and the toughness from hard contact and holding onto the ball. However, he's still used as a 3rd or 4th option on plays. I'm hoping that he can step up and become a go-to WR2, but can he handle the pressure and will he hold up to the pounding?
