And once again, the offense is elite.

The defense is the issue.

You are never going to be 100% healthy in the NFL. It's an excuse. Fully healthy, our defense is bad.

As good as our offense has been, the defense is worse.

Me: 7-3

First off, they would not coach here because they would not work for the Brown family.Secondly, they would not coach for the Brown family.

Right

In a perfect world where the Brown family would hire/name a real GM and hire any one of a dozen HC's and step back and let them totally run the team. We'd probably have more wins.

But that ain't happening, period.

Whoever we get has to work with one hand behind there back. Nothing is going to matter much until things at the top change.

I've got an idea for those wishing Andy Reid or John Harbaugh was their team's HC.

Probably more when they both had Burrow & Mahomes Zac is 3-2.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

The reality is good coaches find ways to win tight games and bad coaches find ways to lose them. There is no coincidence we KEEEP losing in these same fashions. I think a really good coach has this team at 7-8 wins even with the roster issues.

Ravens won 13 games in 2023.   He has missed the playoffs two times in 17 seasons and that was due to a large amount of injuries.   He has only won less than 8 games 1 time and that was almost a decade ago in 2015.

The Bengals are a very talented team and I think firing your coaches would be a mistake.  Zac and Lou are good coaches, you just need to add some players on defense and the offensive line.

The young players are just not responding to Lou. I do think Zac is a good HC.

If Lou is brought back, they will need to add at least 2-3 leaders in FA on the defensive side of the ball.

I don't know about that.  I mean, if Aaron Donald is blocked on one lousy play, Joe hits Ja'Marr and we win SB 56.

I'm not a huge fan of, his mind you, but fair is fair.

I think it's pretty sad that Zac has the best QB in the league, the best WR in the league, and the league sack leader and yet has a losing record and a mind boggling bad record vs mediocre or better teams

Zac Taylor has a better win percentage in close games than Kyle Shanahan:

  • Zac Taylor: Has a better win percentage in close games than Kyle Shanahan
  • Kyle Shanahan: Has a win percentage of .378 in games decided by seven points or fewer, which ranks 119 out of 124 head coaches

Shanahan is also 0-3 in Super Bowls, which is a record no coach has overcome to win a ring. He is the fifth head coach or coordinator in NFL history to start his career 0-3 in Super Bowls.

Well Zac is 3-2 vs Any Reid ( with Joe & Mahomes) and has done well against Shanahan.

You trying to compare with what Bengals injuries? Embarrassing.

bnengals had  more injuries and still have players playing injured

I think this off season will be very interesting..Brown wants to keep the team in Cincinnati..he s almost 90 years old....with his children..we have lease negotiations coming up...burrow is obviously pissed off...the entire nation knows that we need more scouts and potentially a GM. I do think just for the sake of change some new voices are needed in coaching ..defense and offensive line........SCOUTING IS EVERYTHING..and sadly we miss more than we hit
