Sorry, but no one else is up, so I figured I'd post about this on here because I'm excited.
I think I mentioned it a while back, but they quit making the model of the communication device that I love, and I hate all the new models because they all sound too robotic, don't have cool noises or sounds, and are just more difficult to use.
I received my new one from the a government department but I couldn't get it to pronounce each word as I typed it. It would only announce the entire sentence when I finished typing and hit replay. That sucks because I type long sentences and it's tough to understand when it says it all at once.
A friend of mine that works there (not the speech therapists that got the device for me, oddly enough) found an instruction packet that had instructions that weren't in the manual.
The packet told me how to make it speak each word as I type it and also other cool features like cool noises that are realistic!
I'm obviously excited to find out more about it, but I was worried because I wouldn't be able to do the question/answer sessions of my presentations too well using that, but now I'll be able to be better than ever!
I know some of you might think this is a minor issue, but this means that I can communicate clearly with people the way that I've done it since the wreck!
WHO-DEY!
