Pro Bowl Games
#1
Anyone else enjoying watching all these mini events/games more than they used to like watching the old Pro Bowl games?

Players only gave half-ass effort and I never really got much out of watching a game that was just a festival.

The game not really meaning anything kind of ruined it for me, too (besides for it determined home team for the SB [I think?])

Seeing the players out there just taking it easy and having fun is nice to watch. Even the trivia thing is more interesting than the games used to be.

Anyone else liking it?

Joe did well. He didn’t have the highest score but he has less time than anyone who got a higher score. Got to his score before anyone else. Just showing his accuracy.

I'm getting excited about him for this season!

I'm starting to think he's the best quarterback in the NFL and, once we give him protection and a defense, he'll rip the league apart, win MVP, and win us a Super Bowl!

WHO-DEY!

Burrow is great so it was fun to see him out there. I prefer I don't see him this time next year!

I was impressed with Burrow and it got me excited for next year!

The way he was hitting those numbered circle deals from a long distance had me pumped up!

We improve the line a little and get a decent defense and no way in hell we see him in these next year!

I like the skills, I liked the game, I like seeing familiar players I like perform in sports, period.

Sad there wasn't enough Shrine Bowl coverage this whole week...

I enjoyed Pro Bowls, All Star Games and the such more more when I was a kid watching sports. Overall, I don't get too excited about them anymore but I did enjoy getting to see Burrow.

I rank him among my fav Bengals players all time along with Chad Johnson and Boomer Esiason.

Agree about the Shrine Bowl because, unlike the Pro Bowl, those kids are playing for something, whether it be auditioning for the NFL or just trying to play well in their last game ever.

Baseball was one All-Star weekend I liked just because of the home run derby, and basketball wasn't bad just because of the dunk contest and you were sure to see big dunks in the game and other big plays, but football was like watching a special ed flag football game.

To both of you, I think a reason why I liked it so much is because it was a break from the normal football that we've seen all season and there was so much variety that it kept me engaged. You'd see a player do a drill and like watching him do things like when Burrow was throwing balls at those big circles with numbers that represented their value.

Sure, some big plays happen in the Pro Bowl are exciting, but not even like normal big plays because there's nothing riding on it (home field SB, but not many people care).

I loved Chad and Boomer, but I think Burrow has already surpassed them, and maybe so has Chase, and it will only get bigger when we win the ship!

I thought the game was unwatchable. Watching Ja'marr backflip just reminds me of T. Eifert.

To each his own Brad, I watch the 1st quarter only, couldn't take it anymore. Did like seeing Burrow walking along the sideline trying to find a spot to set down.. He looked like a goober doing it!  Hilarious

I'm not saying I'd watch it regularly or anything but I just mean that, in replacement of the normal "game," it was a good watch.

It's not something I'd watch regularly but just seeing the players doing something new and having fun was nice to watch.
