Goodbye Mike?

Agree, he's been a very good player for us, and love that we poached him from Pittsburgh.  But CBs are supposed to cover, which he can't really do anymore.  Stopping the run and pressuring the QB should fall on the front seven, which hopefully will be fixed so we don't miss Hilton quite as much ...

Fair point about the front seven stopping the run and pressuring the QB. Maybe Golden as said the very same thing and wants the right personnel for his defensive scheme. I guess it wouldn't be surprising if Golden offered Hilton isn't needed. Anyhow, just speculation by me.

they HAVE to re-sign Hilton because their drafting at corner hasnt been good! Keep the good players!!!

Cool

He is limited in coverage and too much $$ for part time player, way early to make absolutes on our young cbs..

I always felt like Hilton delivered the splash plays but wasn't consistent in everything else.

If Dax can fill his role then I'm comfortable saying goodbye and wishing him well. One of the best moves we've made taking a good Steelers player and now he's remembered mostly as a Bengals.

I'd prefer they keep him for at least another year, but it doesn't appear to be shaping up that he's coming back.

Well I think they would be smart to keep him, even if it's for depth. There is no guarantee Hill is going to be 100% at the start of the season and there's always injury risks we need quality depth to guard against.

Mike Hilton is a liability in the passing game, and he is a DB not good at all. If they need a first down or touchdown, they just need to isolate Hinton in one on one to get it. In a passing league that is a real big issue that must be fixed.
