I liked the idea but they could really use that high pick on defense.
The Dline needs to improve and become a strength for the defense to improve.
They desperately need the young secondary to step up as well.
Gesicki is more of a WR than TE, but I getcha.
Guard is the biggest need unless we add a couple IMO.
We addressed DT and I think Trey will be back but we still need 2 pass rushers one on the outside and one on the inside.

Emmanwori is climbing up my board, big fast Safety that can hit. Could play FS next to Battle.
A pass rushing LB to play the Viper position could be in play ala Jalon Walker.
Agree, doubt we go TE.

I was more speaking to them already having 3 on the roster with Sample being the blocking TE.
I'd still welcome the pick. It just seems like they invested a lot of money at the position already.
If we return the same players we had last year plus TJ as a run stopper, our pass rush isn't much different.
I think we agree we need to add more production to the front 4.
I wasn't really enamored with the Stone signing last year and he did okay I guess.
Seemed like an overpay. FS could definitely improve and it would be nice to get a shutdown corner as well.
Bengals don't typically draft Safeties high so I'm not expecting that to be the pick but could get behind it.
Corner in the 1st is probably not an option as most are rated for the 2nd or later. I think we'll be banking on improvement from the recent draft picks.
I was also wondering about Malachi Moore in the middle of the draft as a value pick at FS.

Stone kind of sucks. But, so did the entire secondary.
But, it's most likely because of the lack of pass rush. We've addressed that by bringing in a run stuffing DT that can't rush the passer at all.

If you can find an all everything TE it's going to be hard to pass up.

Gesicki is a WR who is labled TE. Tight end is still a need since it's really only Drew Sample, and he cant do anything other than block

Gesicki lined up at WR (either outside or slot) over 90% of the time.
We still need a TE who can line up next to a T who defenses can't tell if he's blocking or running a route.

You guys are not showing any respect to Tanner Hudson’s all round game - he is equally mediocre at blocking and receiving.

Hudson is pretty good at getting open in zone coverage, but that is all I can say for him.
That and Truck hates his guts.

Exactly why Kyle Juszcyk would be a great fit. He's a crushing blocker, runs hard and hard to bring down, catches the ball well. Can line him up in the backfield, in the H-back roll, or even at TE.
Volson is meh, but I like him, and he has far exceeded my expectations

I just want to bump this to remind everyone that Juszcyk is still out there, and could likely be had for about $5M/per. Zac should really consider diversifying his offensive plan to be less predictable. What a better way to do that than adding an ultimate utility guy like Kyle Juszcyk?
