Different direction mock based on their needs
#1
Went a different direction here… I’m on the fence where I think they will go here. I feel like it’s pass rushing DT rd1? But who knows. I went wr just to see what it would look like and honestly I low key love this draft if it turns out this way. 2 great guard prospects, a Tyler Boyd 2.0 replacement, a pass rushing explosive DT, and high floor de. Anyways let’s get into it. My Donovan Jackson dream is a pipe dream now, as he’s going rd1 in most simulators

1. Emeka ebuka wr osu- yeah I got 2 osu players this draft, and yes wr rd1 might make you wanna puke, but adding ebuka to this offense would make this offense far and away the most explosive in the NFL. Ebuka is an extremely reliable wr with extremely reliable hands, high high football iq, and a major rac player.

2. Wyatt milum Og wvu- probably the safest and highest floor olineman outside of Donovan Jackson in this class, milum is a good enough athlete and while he doesn’t have the ceiling some of the others have, has about the highest floor as any, and should be a day 1 starter at guard for the bengals and provide stability to the line. If one word describes milum, its consistency and that’s exactly what we need.

3. Omar Nolan ott 3-tech Tennessee- the Larry ogunjobi player we’ve been missing since he departed, ott is the diruptor and penetrator this defense has sorely missed since Larry o departed. With an explosive first step, he generated upfield pressure very quickly, and pairs that with an extremely high motor.

4. Jack sawyer de osu- yeah yeah yeah, another osu players. But in rd4? I couldn’t pass it up. As with Wyatt milum, sawyer is probably one of the highest floor defensive lineman in this class, while not having the upside of some. His speed and bend will have him drop some, but if he falls to rd4, cincy should run to the podium. He is a sam Hubbard type of a 6-8 sack a year player who will be a locker room leader and just prove consistency and all out effort every single week.

5. Luke kandra rg cincy- a player who coming into the year was a weak pass blocker but great run blocker, he improved his pass blocking in a major way, to the point where I think he’s a good pass blocker. He’s allowed a grand total of 2! Penalties in his collegiate career which is just insane. This is the last pick as a slight trade up of 6 spots to get sawyer took away the last pick,

There is literally not one WR in this draft that I would take in the first round. Not one with our roster.

Is the roster really that bad? What are the glaring needs assuming we resign the big 3. De, pass rushing DT, a lber, and maybe a safety, as well as 2 guards..That’s about it. And if had to rank them in terms of glaring needs it would be
1. Guard
2. Pass rushing DT
3. Guard
4. De

Then could use but not a glaring need
5. Safety
6. Lber

Like I said this isn’t really the direction I would go(although would LOVE another great rac receiver) but just different than the norm.
