Watts would fill this draft out nicely

Then maybe go tackle guard the next 2 picks

This would be a definitive statement get we are invested in Golden’s vision and i think it would be a motivation point for the defense

Like hey guys we used the top 3 picks on your side of the ball. Have some pride

OK maybe a pick that won’t get totally roasted

Fairchild. What are they saying about whether he is plug and play. My understanding was he is not and needed coachup.

We picked Fairchild on need

Watts and Winston were better players

But that confirms my suspicion that we had some lower rated guard at the top of our boards and we think we’re the smartest in the room regarding him

Fairchild lacks experience — and it shows at times — but he is powerful, tough and naturally aggressive. I expect him to continue getting better with additional reps. He is an ascending prospect with NFL starting upside, in the Wyatt Teller mold.

Yep. That's 100% our MO. In years past it has burned them. Hopefully they are right this time at least.

I thought we might have been done with unathletic OL when we drafted Mims.
