What Would Your Draft Have Been?
#61
Based on how the draft actually fell & who was available in each round, the picks would be something like this:

  1. Derrick Harmon
  2. Mike Green
  3. Cam Skattebo
  4. Teddye Buchanan
  5. Jalen Rivers
  6. Hunter Wohler
Could also be convinced of Jihaad Campbell, Gillote, D. Walker, Winston Jr.

Would have SIGNIFICANTLY helped this team.

That's what I would have done when Nolan was picked.

But I will be interested to see how the picks they went with unfolds.   I was livid at 17 and 49.   But it's not like I know that much.  I was going totally on draft web sites.

Hope I was wrong and they were right.  The potential seems to be there.

I have a friend who is a smart guy and a Pittsburgh fan - I know... - but he said Harmon was like a 2nd Cam Heyward (a number of other said the same thing) and was better suited to their defense than ours.

I get the Derrick Harmon sentiment. But you have to match your needs. Oh there are several. But their need was bigger at DE. Their other DE options? Green had sexual abuse issues in his past. Stewart was the best option. I mean the guy was a great run stuffer in the SEC. Can you say AFC North? I think he can chase down Lamar. He was highly disruptive with 33 hurries. That’s a lot. So then there’s Knight. Well last it looked like Pratt & the staff aren’t long for the Bengal world. They had to have a linebacker and he’s athletic and good in the run and pass coverage. Third pick was Fairchild. Most like that pick. He definitely is good at pass protection. Carter’s pick must signal our backups at linebacker are questionable. I’d have picked Watts but to me that means they’ve got plans there. And Golden knows everything about Watts. Most like the Rivers and Brooks picks.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.
