'But his life took a big turn through Cincinnati when Duke Tobin hired him in 2018. Like he does with his other scouts, Tobin didn't blink in giving him large areas to scout in college, or divisions to scout in the league (AFC North or NFC South), as well as big projects to research.
For example, the trade value chart. Sarkisian teamed with Caroline Blackburn, senior manager of digital strategy, and Sam Francis, football data analyst, to create it, and he oversaw it during the draft.' https://www.bengals.com/news/christian-sarkisian-general-manager-northwestern-athletics I'm pretty sure these are all over the Internet.

Looked for this on here didn’t see it.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Maybe we will hire more scouts after this. Hope so, need some more minds, scouting isn't like coaching where too many minds can hurt you.

I think the Blackburns would if Mike lets them, which who even knows how much say he has anymore. It would be ironic because, while scouts are still important, it's a hell of a lot easier now with so many highlights and everything online that it's so much easier to find guys now.

Yeah, it easier than it used to be, but we still could get a lot better at scouting. Might be our biggest problem. We miss on a lot of picks. A lot more than say the Eagles, Chiefs and Ravens. I think Mikey Boy still signs off on everything but he doesn't have near as much say as he used to. Have to at the very least replace Sarkisian. True, didn't know what that thread was about. Don't like to have to click on some random link to know.

Local high school sports in a somewhat rural area have more scouts for girl’s softball than this crowd does. I’m not even joking.

I'd say that it's likely going to take 3 new scouts to carry the load that Christian was carrying. I guess old Scrooge McBengal is going to have to open up that wallet and expand the scouting department..

I definitely agree that more is still better but I’m just saying that it’s a lot easier than having to have a bunch of scouts looking for small school guys, sleepers, finding out what kind of character a kid has (still a lot easier to do in person), finding out a kid’s practice habits, and a lot of other factors that it used to be when you’d have to have scouts reading lots of papers and traveling all over just to get every detail that could potentially impact a player’s draft stock. |
