Reds June 2025 Thread
2 outta 3 from them damn Yankees. Not too shabby. If they can keep rolling at home against the Padres, Boston has been on the schnied lately. Let's keep it that way, eh?

Outside of today's performance, they've played some damn good baseball lately.

This might have been TJ Friedl's worst game as a Red. He needs to just flush this game, enjoy the day off and come back ready for the Padres.

Singer at 7-6 now has 13 decisions in 16 starts. That's rare for a Reds pitcher. Visions of Heath Hembree as the closer wiping out victories for the starters.

Now there's a trade that I'll push for . . . try to go and get a legitimate closer. Luis Mey has the arm for it but he's too green and doesn't have it all together yet.

I guess that means any part of your body can tag someone out, as long as you have control of the ball.

I doubt Vilade ever played LF at GABP. I wonder if a different LFer catches that ball.

The Martinez and Steer win, sweet!

Since June 6th the Reds are 13-6. I would have bet their record would have been the opposite. If they can keep playing decent until the 7 game home stand right before AS break, 4 vs. Marlins who aren't that great and then 3 vs. Rockies umm like the worst team in the league!! They could hit the break in contention.

News and Notes

Cincinnati was 3-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
The Reds are 4-25 when allowing five runs or more.
The Reds are 3-31 when the opponent has more hits.
The Reds are 9-24 when they do not hit a home run.

All bad omen’s when trying to come back for a win.

A .333 average with runners in scoring position is a bad omen.

ok

Problem is getting a man in scoring position. Today, 0-3 in 8th inning.

It’s the other stats that are depressing

And 1 run in last innings, doesn’t help
