If I was to highlight a part of my post.  The years I was around last place, would it have been fair to everybody if I had the top waiver spot every week.  Of course not.

It's my first year with the league so I am good with whatever is decided. I once started a season 0-6 and made the playoffs because of waiver position, I have also been in first place and still got guys I wanted or needed from the last place position. Bottom line is you have to make the right picks or it doesn't matter where you are picking from because WINNING is what matters.

Yo. Thought about not posting this, but some of you would want to know. My doctor did an x-ray of my chest, and they found calcified heart arteries in the ticker. Plaque.

Going to a cardiologist next week, and I'm frankly scared shitless. 61 years old and this happens. Anyway, just wanted you boys to know.

Pretty sure my uncle had this issue, had to change his diet and exercise regularly.

Might have to start eating salads and doing mock drafts on a stationary bike but I foresee a long fantasy career for you. ThumbsUp

I had a heart stent put in 6 years ago. Afterward, I felt the best I had in 10 years. Still go to the Cardio once a year, but all is well. Hang in there; they'll fix you up.

Hopefully Tiger they are not severely blocked and some medicine and change of diet and exercise will get you taken care of.

I'm headed out on vacation for a week. If you guys end up having a vote of no confidence in Tiger Teeth or anything, you know where I stand.

Sarcasm

I'll pay attention to league happenings when I'm back!

How is your cholesterol ?  Get with you cardiologist and be honest. If you smoke or drink, don't lie about it to the doctor, you are only hurting yourself if you lie to doctor.

I'm 70, and I'm on atenolol med once a day as opposed to a stint. Now also on a cholesterol med at night.  I walk the dog every day, and doctor says that's my stress test if I feel OK after walk.

Everybody's Diet iis different, but I haven't had a beer, wine, or booze since I was 60 because the headaches are High Blood Pressure due to alcohol. . I also cut out coffee, soda pop.  Doctors have me on High Fiber / Low Sugar Diet. Also on a less Meat Diet. Also on a low Cholesterol Diet, eggs being very high in cholesterol.  I discovered The Ocean Spray juices and most juices are 50 % sugar. So in last year, Im buying the No Sugar or Low Sugar Juices.  Also No Sugar Peanut Butter, No Sugar Strawberry Preserves, No Sugar Cool Whip. Whole Wheat Bread for Fiber.   I read the labels more.  Some things that fit my diet are pepperoni pizza, Ball Park Franks with Hog Dog Chili, Pillsbury Cinnamon Rolls, Taco Bell Soft Tacos and a Bean Burrito for Fiber. Chinese Restaurant mixed vegetable and white rice with shrimp and egg rolls, Sugar Free Vanilla Ice Cream with Sugar Free Carmel Sauce. bananas, melons, strawberries, Cheeze Nip Crackers, Pringles, and Spring Water.  .....I don't smoke and No beer, Wine or Booze. No Pot either.....I see people over 50 trying to party like they are 21, and they drop over dead from it.  I didn't find religion, I just got sick and tired, of being sick and tired.

So best to you. See your cardiologist, but be Honest with him.  If you drink or smoke, don't lie about it, because you are only hurting yourself if you lie to your doctor.  DON'T be like some I've seen, that get out of hospital and go right to the bar, and no surprise to me they were all dead very fast. I know Diets sound like they suck at first, but you get use to it.  I know a teen that had level one diabetic and he had to go on Diets or Die as a teen.  He's in his 30's now.  Even on Diets, I still find plenty to eat.

When you see your cardiologist, make sure they do a cholesterol test. You have to fast from midnight on for a good test result. Also ask about Diet.  You might as well cover everything when you get to see a specialist like a cardiologist. ....Best To You, Good Luck.

Now in a store, almost everything is bad.  So I make it 20 %.  If something is zero to 10 or 15 on sugar or cholesterol, not bad. Things over 20 %, I avoid.   Stores won't have all zero, but if you hold things at 20 % tolerance or less, shopping will be easier as you work whatever Diet doctors put you on.

That means he doesn't consider you on critical list, which is good....I highly suggest you call his office and ask for a cholesterol blood test, so that doctor has that when he does see you.  You can get that test many places, but make sure you don't eat 12 hours before test, a little water is OK, but not much. This way you have a good cholesterol test for cardiologist to look at test results.  It helps.  If he is on vacation, NOW is a good time to have his office set up cholesterol test with place you want to draw blood, and covered by insurance since you called his office The blood work only takes a few seconds, but you and cardiologist are better on your visit with these test results.  I know, I've done it. ...This doesn't have to wait until he is back from vacation, in fact NOW is a good time to do it. Call and tell his office you want a lipid test so he can see your cholesterol level on your visit, and his office will agree.  Make sure you don't eat from midnight on, otherwise it makes test results look even worse.  Then when cardiologist see's you, he will say, " I see you got a Lipid Test. Good, that helps a lot ".
