4 hours is a ton of info and probably some info for each position group as well.
He was able to attend meetings during OTAs. He can't attend during training camp

The Bengals started 2024 in a very simple heavy 5 man defensive line front playing cover 1 man on the back end. After the Panthers game when Cam Taylor Britt, Geno Stone, and the DL were struggling Lou added in alot more Run/Pass blitzing because without a nose tackle and a beat up DL teams were running it down their throat.
By the end of the year the scheme "simplified" because the Offenses they faced simplified. Raiders, Cowboys, Browns, Bronco, Titans, even the Steelers (even though they got lit up by check downs in thr first game).
Lou Anarumo was the best scheme coach on staff if that was his only job he would be alot better DC and maybe in will be Indy. Here he was a major voice in stacking the draft board and it's felt like he tooks some players without a real plan (Dax Hill, Myles Murphy). I think it also hurt him he never had a second string to his DL.
How much control did he have over personnel though? The FO basically ignored him about keeping Bell & Bates in the 22 off-season. Is it unreasonable to think that the FO ignored him during the draft?

Well he didnt play Murphy much so that should tell you what he thought about that pick. The Bengals front office are the ones that thought Murphy should be played more not Lou. I dont 100% put the blame on Lou because he never really had a bunch of talent on defense to work with to begin with and some of the better talent he did have, the Bengals organization let walk. If Lou really was the problem, we should see a dramatic jump this year on defense with all the returning talent Golden was left in his lap plus the talent that has been added since last year.

The problem with Lou were some of his preferences in the draft and unagressive defense.
Romo “ so impressed with Zac ...1 of the best in the NFL… they are just fundamentally sound. Taylor the best winning % in the Playoffs of current coaches. Joe Burrow” Zac is the best head coach in the NFL & that gives me a lot of confidence." Taylor led the Bengals to their first playoff win since 1990, ending the longest active drought in the four major North American sports, en and appeared in Super Bowl LVI, the first since 1988.

Vets report today. I think Trey will report and do what Ja’Marr did last
season until the contract is resolved
Of course after I said that, I learn Trey is currently in Florida.

Trey will be fined 50k a day for each day he misses and the team can't waive the fines. His agent has not been very good throughout this whole thing, the timing and tactics, and frankly not having him show up and hold in is another mistake. I think Trey's agent having no experience with big contracts outside of Trey has really hurt him in all of these negotiations.

I think the Bengals haven’t learned. They just never bite the bullet until it costs them. They have to do due diligence on agents. Stewart’s agent was suspect. Tobin talks about this team is SB worthy. He talks about needing a better start in the season. The defense is the problem and needs the most attention. Yet they are missing 2 important players. New DC. It’s a shame.

It is OK to be optmistic and not hate the FO. We are 2 in the minority, at least who vocally express our feelings.
But be careful, you will be accused of attempting to get a ride in MB's golf cart.
Please use 2025 free agency to fix the trenches, not the draft!!!!!!!!

I think the Brown family is being short-sighted with Trey, and Stewart is being short-sighted with the Bengals. I don't think either opinion puts me in Mike Brown's golf cart
