Plus there will be bigger fish to fry via FA after we learn of departures. Peko is going nowhere this year so a rookie that Peko can mentor and spell him periodically would be perfect.

Jenkins turned down a 5 yr/$45 million offer from the Rams and he's looking for around $12 million a year. That's way too rich for the Bengals blood.

Also, he's not good.

Bengals like their DBs disciplined. Jenkins is anything but. 

He'll make splashy plays but he's also giving up a ton.
