Two WR free agents who can help this team.
#1
So ive been going around shooting down comments from people on big name receivers who get a thread because of their name rather than what they can bring to our team. Instead of playing the negative nelly I'm going to list a couple guys who would not only serve as replacements but maybe improve our squad.

1. Anquan Boldin - I have never given him quite the credit he deserves, but this guy is truly a marvel in a league where most receivers are done by 30. His tough style of play and previous experience in the North make this guy my number 1 option in Free agency for upgrading our team. He can actually serve as a veteran presence that Green has never benefited from and he performance has yet to take a large decline. He is a role player who can act as a #2 or #3 guy and gives us the playoff experience we so desperately need.

2. Mike Wallace - Ok guys I can already hear the naysayers piling in on this pick, but I just want to say one thing up front. This guy is not a number 1 receiver and a lot of his decline is because of the systems and doesn't necessarily make him a bad player. He has success in the North and would be a great number 2 behind green offering that speed and experience. If you can get him at a good price he could easily be an upgrade to Marvin Jones.

Pair these two guys together with our squad and your going to have an absolute nightmare for defenses. The price tags on both of them are probably way more than the bengals are willing to pay, but wallace may have to take a huge paycut after a couple of down seasons. If you can get boldin for 5.5 and Wallace for around 7 then it would make sense to sign them.

Lastly another cheap option would be Colston who may be a cheap #3 guy. His huge fall off last season scares me however, but for the price I think they should work him out.

I would like to get either one of those guys, but not anything near those prices.

Wallace was going to visit the Ravens and they were talking about offering him around $3 million.  Bolden should be even cheaper.

Boldin I could see around those prices.  Wallace taking a 9 million a year paycut... well we should sign both of these guys for those prices.

I think the front office is spooked from taking 30+ receivers looking for their final contract. At this point I'd even take Boldin. Who before free agency I wasn't all that interested in.

Only WRs that I'd take a look at right now are...

Jeremy Kerley
Reuban Randle
Anquan Boldin (Maybe)
Percy Harvin

Why is everybody talking up Boldin while forgetting Andre Johnson?

Gimme Andre and/or Harvin and I'll look elsewhere in the draft.

The Colts were in the AFC Championship game BEFORE he got there and now they are like what...6-10 or something?  Duh.

I've talked up Anquan. I believe he fits the role of hired gun perfectly and is familiar with the division. I don't know why he wouldn't at least be considered to be a stop gap. But if he's not available or too expensive, how about what's his name from N.O. ... Colston?

Other than not being familiar with the AFCN, he offers about the same skill set as Boldin, however Colston has never played the 'hired gun' role.

While Boldin has done wonders for San Fran's record.

At 5.5 and 7, oh my God those are sky high rates. Bolden is over the hill while Wallace is an under producer.

The team will go for younger guys who have some tread left and something to prove. Expect offers around $2-3M.

Can't blame Andra for the Colts woes.

Andre Johnson can't seperate Anymore. It's a shame but he struggled the last two heads because he has just lost it.... Like Reggie Wayne.

Yeah I'm sure the in fighting between the head coach, offensive coordinator, and GM has nothing to do with anything. Plus the medical mismanagement of their top asset by all involved.

This, plus with Boldin, I see more of a possession receiver making plays in traffic.....actually a more sure handed Sanu.

Did you watch every colts game? Can you provide any stats or analytics to support your claim?

Andre Johnson finished the 2015 season as PFF's 60th-ranked wide receiver, third-highest on @Colts' roster behind Hilton and Moncrief.

Boldin was the #1 target on the Niners by a mile.  He had 111 targets and no one else had more than 62.

Johnson was FOURTH in targets for the Colts.  He only had 77 behind Hilton (134), Moncrief (105), and Fleenor (84).

QBs generally throw to the guy who gets open.
