I'm not perfect, because I do make mistakes from time to time, but I do my best to pronounce names properly, in their proper, ethnic ways.

In a slight variation of what Homer Simpson says:

I would argue that the way someone pronounces their own name is the way is pronounced.  Brett Favre is pronounced however Brett says it is.
