It's a horrible, desperate and clinging quality that a lot of our fan base possesses.   It's the same with Reds fans and the cardinals.

Consider last year, the steelers season was more successful than any of the last 25 bengals seasons.

It's just Cincy sports fans. Always begging for an excuse and never actually facing the facts.  It's hard for a franchise to go 20+ years without advancing in the playoffs.  Yet We have two teams who are mired in that 20+ consecutive season, epic ineptitude.

Really man? Jealously?

I can tell you this, I could never get myself to root for a team who's quarterback is CLEARLY guilty of rape of a 20 year old girl. That shit disguested me when I was younger (I was like 14), but now that I'm around that age I can see how truly ***** disgusting that is. I don't care how much I love my team, I could never root for a rapist.

The Steelers always play us dirty, and always play us knowing they can get away with dirty hits, excessive celebrations, you name it. Punch them back in the mouth and then they cry to the refs.

Honestly, I'm glad they lost AB for the Broncos game. I wish he didn't get hurt (you never want to wish injury or cheer for it obviously), but after that shit game (Martavis Bryant's non-TD, that crazy racist hair-pulling shit, the unbelievable hit on Gio) I couldn't feel bad for AB. The Steelers have been hurting our guys for years with no remorse. They didn't deserve to be at full strength after the shit they pulled in that game.

I remember when I was 14, watching Hines Ward demolish Keith Rivers jaw, I immediately was sick to my stomach. It made me like football less.

Don't tell me I'm jealous of a football team that makes me like football less. You go root for a rapist quarterback and a team with a history of cheaters. We won't miss you.

I Hate how SMUG the Steeler's and their Fans are. Yes, they have pretty much owned us....but we have owned the Ravens as of late and our players do not act like that. (not that I have noticed anyway)

I also hate that they get the better of us EVERY FReaKIN YEAR! I really believe we are the better team....but they STILL get the better of us. It's gotta be Mental.

And Last....but not least......I hate how much I dread playing them....and how worked up I get during the game. It's like....as a kid....peaking through my fingers during the scariest part of a Horror flick! I just can't watch.....but I can't look away. A Steeler's Loss hangover lasts MUCH longer than losing to any other team.

Man I want the Bengals to Mop the floor with them SO BAD!!!

I think at one point, the Steelers had the mental edge. I'm not sure that's the case anymore.

For some, it might be the towel.  For others, it might be Omar Epps' aged face on the sideline.  For me, they have maybe the second most annoying in-the-building motto in the NFL (yes, NE, you and the 'Patriot Way' still maintain the dubious honor).

"The Standard is The Standard."

There's nothing that says a whole lotta nothin' like reaching for some meaningless platitude, then immediately repeating that nothing as if it will add some emphasis to the now repetitive and vapid statement.

Ok, that's me.  What about you?

Things I hate most about the Steelers.

1.)Their fans are ignorant
2.)Their players are trash and loud mouths
3.)Their coaches have no class or dignity
4.)Their fans are delusional
5.)The NFL has a hard on for anything Pittsburgh related
6.)Their players are constantly playing outside of the lines, yet never get punished for it
7.)Their fans cannot except facts and refuse to believe their players are dirty
8.)They constantly live in the past and brag and boast about SB wins, yet when a Bengals fan brings up the playoff loss in which they needed half a dozen bad calls to help them win, they say things like still living in the past, or what happened, happened.

I don't like to brag or rub it in other fans faces when the Bengals win, honestly I'm just happy, but I would love nothing more than to see our guys go out and bring home a few SB titles and to see the Steelers fall into they abyss.

It has to be the fans. I have yet to meet one rational Steelers fan that I can just sit down and chat football with. Everything circles back to the Steelers, no matter how off-topic.

Me: "What did you think of the Jets/Bills game last night?"
Steelers fan: "The Steelers would destroy both of them by no less than 47 points. Kiss duh ringz baby!!!!!!"
Me: "FML"

Just curious, did something happen to you this week? Every thread you've been incredibly angsty.

Did the Asian girl leave you?

Most Steelers fans I've met have no affiliation with Pittsburgh or the state of Pennsylvania.

Most well traveled fans my ass they're all band wagoners.

Nah, we are good. Nice try though.

Just realistic based on our last showing.

Also, most of them think the team is 6-0 in Super Bowls. They have no idea the Steelers have lost 2. I also find it funny that 45% of Steeler fans I know are also Yankee fans. See the correlation?

Pissed WTF

True all of this. I could never root for a team that always has the refs in their pocket as well.

I don't like cheating, takes all the fun out of winning if you have to cheat to do it.

So, in a thread asking Bengals fans what they hate about the Steelers...you decide to express your hatred for Bengals fans who express their hatred of the Steelers...and then tell Bengals fans to get off the Steelers nuts?

With one cheap shot they crushed my hopes and dreams of seeing Bengals, and their high flying offense win the Super Bowl. Which I think we absolutely would have done had that POS Kimo van Oelhoffen not took out Palmer's leg.

My hatred reached another level last year in the playoff game watching their coache's pull our players hair, dance on our field while Gio was laying on the ground unconscious, and finally a LB coach coming on the field when the Pitt D wasn't even playing, for no other reason than to cause trouble. Which he was completely successful at. Mind you this was a guy who had his posse of thugs beat up one of our players years earlier in a casino.

It would be one thing if the Steelers had the reputation of the old school Oakland Raiders or something,  but the idea that team is a model franchise just because of their success is an absolute joke.

My gripe is the constant obsession with anything Steelers.

I started the thread in good fun. It's devolved a little, but what do you expect during the week the Bengals play the Steelers?
