I completely agree with you.  But he just is not ready yet.  Leave him in and the whole team suffers AND you hurt the kids confidence.  Put him on the bench so he can learn in practice and develop.  It's best for the team and the player.

I called for Nugent's leg before the season began and even I don't have any words anymore. This season is a loss anyway, but it would be absolutely laughable to make the playoffs this year with him as our kicker.

If the ball was down when Nugent went to kick, he is not blameless. Plinked it off the upright. Not like the ball was on it's side or something.
