Not 100% but I've seen other QB's dodge that type of pressure with their back turned  (Wilson, Ryan and Roethlisberger to name a few). Andy had to have heard footsteps or just "sensed" that mammoth coming up behind him. He should have kept running, tucked it or thrown it quickly out of bounds. Cocking it for a deep throw wasn't smart.
