It probably won't help, but I feel better. Nice letter, but you can't really call it mediocrity. Making the playoffs the last 5 years isn't mediocre. Far from it.

I agree with the poster who stated that the letter went in the trash the minute you started ripping her father. If you want something, be nice.

I honestly don't know why anyone thinks Katie is going to follow a drastically different approach than her father has. She has chosen to spend much of her adult life by his side, her husband and children work by his side. They are all literally "learning from the master" so to speak. I get the need for hope of change, for hope that things improve, I just don't agree with the thought process.
As to the letter, you start by insulting her father, the man she has chosen to learn from. Good luck with that.

I guarantee that not only will she ignore you, she won't even read the letter. The Brown family must have seen thousands of these over the years (at least I hope they have). I'm sure they have a designated section for these letters to be tossed.

So you just never know how someone will do until they're in the big seat.

I did it because it made me feel less frustrated even though I know as well as all of you it never makes any difference to the Brown family. BTW I removed the paragraph about Mike Brown AND MAILED IT. I look forward to reading someone else's solution to make everything okay.

They made billboards, put "hire a GM" urinal cakes in the PBS restrooms and even flew banners over training camp. It was a valiant effort, but Mike Brown is immune to criticism. Plus 2009 killed their momentum.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

I believe the only way to get a response from either Mikey Brown or Katie is to write them and humbly offer your coaching services for an annual salary of $1 and a bonus of $1 million per playoff win.
Mikey will, of course, want to talk you down to $250k per playoff win.
