Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive. Sorry for Party Rocking!

Mixon is a true low 4.4 guy, most expected him to run there based on his speed on tape.

Braxton Miller ran a 4.50 at the Combine last year, ran a 4.33 and 4.36 at Ohio St's track. Sure, players have "bad" times at the Combine occasionally, but practically everyone posts better at their pro days than what they actually run. Btw, when I said high 4.4's to low 4.5's, I meant 4.45-4.54. Saw a few sites that expected his true 40 to be 4.48-4.50. I don't think it's unreasonable to think a 4.40 at pro day track is actually more like 4.46 on football turf.

Mayock or Jeremiah said on NFL Network, teams don't put combine 40 numbers on their big board, they use their own hand timed ones. Which is odd because hand times are much more prone to being wrong than electronic times.

Seems that 4.40 flat 40 was very off.
According to Gil Brandt, the "official" time being given out to all NFL teams for Mixon's pro day is...4.50. Here is the Twitter statement reflecting that and his other "official" results from his pro day. https://twitter.com/Gil_Brandt/status/839552019354378240

Don't we ever learn...or for that matter...doesn't mister second chance Mike Brown ever learn. Surely we can find nice talent in the 2nd or 3rd round with no issues of this type. Not with his talent. Hes right up there with fournette and cook as best rb in the draft. (03-08-2017, 01:43 PM)ochocincos Wrote: 4.4 flat? Mixon received his second and third chances at Oklahoma. The next time he punches a woman, I hope it won't be in Cincinnati with one of your loved ones.
Marvin Lewis has stated he doesn't have the ability, inclination, or time to rehabilitate knuckleheads. Hopefully, the draft decision makers listen to Marvin.

He wont make it out of the 2nd.
Trading back with our first and getting an extra 2nd and trading AJMC and getting an extra 2nd could be huge. There is a boatload of talent that will be available in the 2nd. Wont here me complaining if we take Mixon at 41

Because someone hasn't doesn't mean they won't and because they did doesn't mean they will again. I'd probably argue he is less likely to do it again because he has been through the backlash. Actually historic behavior is the BEST predictor of future behavior given available options for predictions. Mixon may have an excellent NFL career in someplace like New England. But the Bengals FO and coaching staff are enablers. There isn't enough structure and discipline coming from the top down to hold players accountable. I'm smelling a trade back going down. It's just beginning to have that feel about it. Mixon may very well be in stripes.
I'm not sure it's a great fit, but there's no denying his ability. |
