Bengals to pursue Logan Ryan
#21
Just makes no sense. He's cost them a comp pick, and they love comp picks. Unless they are jilted from this year's disappointing outcome for comps.

Didn't even bring him in for a visit

Think this was our decoy big name that we always do that get ppl excited for a week and distracts fans from the fact that they haven't actually signed anyone worth shit

I don't think this was ever actually a thing. I wonder who first reported this.

Ah, those days where there was a modicum of hope in free agency

Logan Ryan just signed with the Titans. I guess the Bengals pursuit of him was "fake news."

By pursuing Logan Ryan they actually mean just realizing he is a FA. Mellow

If by they you mean had a 20 year old sales intern with the last name brown, and by kicked his tire you mean looked up youtube videos of him; you are probably correct.

I don't think we bring players in just to kick tires. I think we bring them in to kick them in the nuts. I would love to be a fly on the wall to hear what players say to their agents, spouse etc. when they leave here after wasting their time with lowball offers.

Connor Barwin's visit:

Bengals intern: Nice to meet you Connor.
Barwin: Likewise. Where is Mr. Brown?
Intern: He's chasing butterflies on his golf cart.
Barwin: O...k... Will he be in today so we can talk contract with my agent?
Intern: That's cute. You see ah...we're not actually interested in signing you. You want way too much money.
Barwin: How do you know? I mean, I'm only looking for around $6
Intern: Dollars?
Barwin: Million. $6 million.
Intern: Bwahahaha!
Barwin: What's so funny? I'm a former pro bowler and an upgrade over Michael Johnson.
Intern: Look kid. We both benefit here. We get to look like we're being aggressive in FA.
Barwin: And what do I get???
Intern: You got a free coach ticket to come visit family and we're even throwing in a coupon for a free frostee.
Barwin: Ooh I love frostees. Is it totally free?
Intern: You have to buy the meal to get the frostee.
Barwin: Thanks. I guess.
Intern: Thank you! Now would you please send Minter in when you're on your way out? Kthanksbubeye.

Why would we go after him when our starting CB is a free agent. Makes no sense

We have 100 first round corners on this roster.... need to give them a shot.
