Best Blowout of the Marvin Era?

2004 vs Cowboys (26-3): Picked off Testaverde 3 times. No big offensive performances. Matt Schobel scored on a 76 yard TD pass. Shayne Graham hit all 4 of his FGs.

2004 @ Eagles (38-10): Eagles rested starters for playoffs and Kitna threw for 189 yards and 2 TDs subbing for injured Palmer. Rudi was the star, rushing for 99 yards and 3 TDs on 28 carries.  Ty Detmer was benched after 2 INTs, and Jeff Blake made his last significant appearance in the NFL, going 14 of 23 for only 85 yards, with a TD and a pick.

2005 vs Vikings (37-8): Game started with a 70 yard TD to Chad. Palmer ended with 337 yards, 3 TDs and a pick. Chad had 139 yards and the TD. Culpepper threw 5 INT's and the Bengals were leading 37-0 when the Vikes scored a junk TD at the end to avoid the shutout.

2005 @ Lions (41-17): Bengals jumped out to a 31-7 lead early in the 3rd and put it in cruise. Palmer went for 274 yards, 3 TDs with 2 picks. Rudi ran for 117 yards and 2 scores. Jeff Garcia threw 3 INT's for the Lions.

2006 @ Browns (30-0): Palmer went 25 of 32 for 275 yards, with 3 TDs and a pick. Chad, Housh and Henry combined for 19 catches, 243 yards and 3 TDs. Our defense was flawless, holding the Browns to 203 yards and 0 points. Forced 4 sacks and 5 turnovers (4 picks from Charlie Frye).

2007 vs Titans (35-6): Carson went 32 of 38 for 283 yards and 3 TDs with 1 pick. Chad caught 12 of those passes for 103 yards and all 3 TDs. I believe this is the game where Pacman infamously slammed his helmet in disgust because he couldn't cover Chad. Bengals had a whopping 30 first downs.

2009 vs Bears (45-10): Palmer had one of his best games in probably his worst year. 233 yards and 5 TDs. Benson had a career day (189 yards and a TD on 37 carries) vs his former team. Chad had 118 yards and 2 TDs. When JP Foschi scores, it's a good day. Bengals picked off Cutler 3 times and held the Bears to 35 yards rushing.

2012 @ Chiefs (28-6): Dalton threw for 230 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. BJGE and Peerman combined for 33 carries, 176 yards and a TD. Jamaal Charles had 118 total yards, but the Chiefs stood no chance with Matt Cassel and Brady Quinn taking turns at QB.

2012 vs Raiders (34-10): Palmer's return to PBS was a disaster for him. Dalton threw for 210 yards and 3 TDs with 0 picks. BJGE and Peerman were still rolling, with 27 carries for 190 yards and a TD. Palmer was sacked 4 times and harassed into a 64.1 rating and only 146 yards on 34 attempts.

2013 vs Jets (49-9): Dalton threw for 325 yards and 5 TDs with a pick. Marvin Jones clinched some team overpaying him with a 4 TD fluke. Chris Crocker and Pacman both scored on INT returns. Our defense held Geno Smith to a 51.9 rating and held the duo of Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell to 16 carries for 30 yards. Just a complete and thorough domination. Only complaint is that we let off the gas and didn't score in the last 13:08.

2013 vs Vikings (42-14): Dalton threw for 363 yards, 4 TDs and 0 INT's. The BJGE/Gio/Peerman trio was stuffed, going for only 50 yards on 27 carries, but this one was all about Dalton and the defense, which held Matt Cassel to a 32.6 rating, 4 sacks and 3 INTs. The Bengals jumped out to a big lead and rendered AP useless.

2014 vs Titans (33-7): The defense set the tone for this one. Dalton threw for 169 yards and a pick that bounced off of Gio's hands. Hill and Gio combined for 89 rush yards and 3 TDs. The Titans scored their TD in garbage time.

2014 @ Browns (30-0): Another 30-0 win in Cleveland. Bengals were carried by run game (244 yards + 3 TDs) and our defense, which manhandled Manziel. Dalton was off, throwing for only 117 yards and a pick.

2015 @ Raiders (33-13): Dalton threw for 269 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs. Hill and Gio combined for 126 yards and 2 scores. Eifert broke out with 104 yards and 2 scores of his own. Bengals went conservative after going up 33-0 and were outscored 13-0 in the last 16:25.

2015 vs Browns (31-10): Dalton went 21 of 27 for 234 yards, 3 TDs and 0 INTs. Hill and Gio combined for 124 rush yards. Eifert caught 3 more TDs. Manziel threw a TD before half to narrow the lead down to 14-10, but we adjusted and outscored the Browns 17-0 after halftime.

2015 vs Rams (31-7): Dalton threw for 233 yards, 3 TDs and a pick. Hill ran for 86 yards on only 16 carries. Our defense held Nick Foles to only 228 yards, 0 TDs and 3 picks on 46 attempts. They also held Todd Gurley to 19 yards on 9 attempts.

2015 @ Browns (37-3): Dalton went for 220 yards, 2 TDs and 0 INTs on only 19 passes, also running for another score. Hill had 98 yards + a TD. Green went for 128 yards and a TD. The Browns started Austin Davis for this one, but the results stayed the same.

2016 vs Eagles (32-14): Dalton carried the team here. No AJ Green or Eifert. Dalton still posted a 130.0 rating with 332 yards and 2 scores, no turnovers. Hill had a ridiculous 33 yards on 23 carries. Rex was better, but lost a fumble. After taking a 29-0 lead, Marvin let off the gas and the Eagles outscored us 14-3 in the last 19:06. The defense held Wentz to 308 yards on 60 passes, with 3 picks. Burfict was huge with 15 tackles and 2 INTs.

2017 @ Browns (31-7): Dalton went 25 of 30 for 286 yards and 4 TDs, with 0 picks. Our 3 headed RB monster went for only 57 yards on 26 carries. Kroft did his best Eifert impression with 68 yards and 2 scores. Our defense held Kizer to 118 yards on 34 passes with an INT.

I figured the Jets game would be very popular, but there's some other great ones in there.

The 45-10 Bears game. Smacking Palmer down in his return to PBS. The Lions blowout that got us in the playoffs for the first time in 14 years.

I figure some of these will at least give that Jets game a run for the money, but maybe not.

I relished the thumping we put on the Raiders during Carson’s return to PBS. While I don’t hate him, I absolutely cannot stand a quitter. I loved that he sulked off to the west coast, we fleeced the Raiders, and ended up with a better team anyway. That was a happy day.

Ah man, this is a tough one. They were all just... Just so great. But if I had to pick one, I'd probably go with the 2005 Vikings game.

That game convinced me that Carson and the 2005 team were going to be something special.

Those are all the ones I remember the best. Loved beating Palmer (even though I never hated him the way many do), and watching Benson run all over his old team was fun too. I went with the jets tho, that was too good and the easiest to remember since it was just 4 years ago

Very close 2nd was 2009 vs. Bears, I really got into that game we had struggled thru some tough wins that season and it was just such a joy to watch em mow them down with such ease. Put a big smile on my face, kinda like when......well never mind.

I have to vote for the 45-10 drubbing of the Bears. Partly because it was just an amazing game, but also because it's a good memory for me.

I went to the Irish Bred Pub in Covington for that one, with my Wife and my Dad.

Had some incredible wings, some really cheap pitchers of beer and listened to all the guys in Bears jerseys get really quiet as the game progressed. It was a great time.

The jets game was my favorite. Everything just seemed so effortless. My only complaint was that I wanted to see them break the 50 point threshold. I don't know of the Bengals have ever gone over 50, at least not in my lifetime.

I was at the Bengals game in Detroit for the 2005 division clincher. The Lions fans staged an "orange out" in protest of Matt Millen's ineptitude and it felt like a home game. Due to the significance of making the playoffs for the first time in forever, it remains one of my favorite games that I've been to.

I also got the pleasure of viewing Palmer's return, where I believe he was sacked on the first two plays (could be off on that one), and that set the tone for the whole game. Easily another one of my favorites.

I vividly remember the 41-10 drubbing of the Steelers in '89. That was the game Icky blew out his knee.

I even remember sitting in the parking lot of a customer, the next day on lunch, reading about the game in the paper.

I was talking about the Marv era, but yeah. The game you mention goes back further than my fandom, but I do remember Jeff Blake leading us to a couple blowouts over the Steelers. He usually brought his "A" game against them, despite them being an elite defense.

I cant recall any win against Pitt over the last 20 years that was a blowout win for the bengals.  The few wins the bengals have actually mustered were usually very close.
