So I don't think we're one injury away from having the same O line as last year. Plus Bodine is gone and he's not coming back (Hallelujah) and that's addition by subtraction.
And a different coach and run game coordinator and Westerman should be ready to start at RG.

Don't know about that. They said they were going to cut payroll after the draft. Bye Bye Michael Johnson.

Don’t count out Redmond either. He graded very high the last two games.

It really is when you consider they are only 2 hours away making scouting much easier with the few resources the Bengals devote to that process.
I know the Buckeyes get a lot of hate but there are only a few schools that have produced more top level NFL talent than tOSU.

Day 3 guys are usually to fill out a roster.....backups and ST. Occasionally you find the gem. But from here on out, finding impact starters is unlikely.

I would have taken OL in the fourth too. But maybe they have a sleeper they are pretty sure will be available in the 5th or 6th.

Mikey boy likes his retreads on the cheap, i.e. Winston...I'll believe they're serious about the O-line when they
stop low-balling guards and letting them walk instead of giving them FMV.
MJ is without a doubt dead man walking on this roster...

Bill Lazor comes from the Chip Kelly way of thinking and chip loves his running backs. Not suprised that they picked a RB. I wanted Jalen Samuels personally.

Just having a different O line coach is huge.

I agree and also think many forget a great ST player is valuable, if that guy could also fill a role being used like Pats use their running backs, then we have something
I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

Or they don;t feel the quality of Oline was there in this round.. you can;t have enough good RBs, and we need help on special teams... Oline don;t address that at all..

No Oline doesn't address ST but all 3 day 2 guys can play ST.

O lline talent is thin in this draft. And OT talent is even thinner than interior line talent. We dont need to take O line for the sake of taking it. We have Westerman and Redmond to take RG, and Hart, Fisher and Perkins to cover RT. Plus whatever comes up after cuts.

It's like when you lose your punter (aka when Pittsburgh breaks his jaw) They aren't important until you don't have one. Then you realize the game pivots on field position and special teams.

Just saw our pick. Not crazy about this one. Nothing against him as a player, but if I was drafting a RB for the Bengals I woulda went with a hammer to compliment Gio/Mixon. Gio is the small shifty one, Mixon can do it all, we could use that short yardage bruiser to complete the trio. I wanted Scarborough in 5 and woulda went Crosby or Jones at OT there, or maybe Hurst or Holton Hill

Exactly my guess is the value wasn’t there and they couldn’t get a worthwhile trade offer so they took BPA. If they go lineman They must believe they can get the same type player in the 5th as they could have in the 4th. If anything it’ll tell me they knew enough not to reach for need in the 4th.

That may very well be what they do.
