I'll go with what Marvin picks.
To each his own... unless you belong to a political party...

You're a little light on LB, even expecting Burfict to come back. I would say Flowers makes the team and lose either France or Hopkins.

I agree with 3 TE but Uzomah gets in, with Hewitt as an HBack/FB designation. Troy Hill doesn't make it.

I'll also add that given his Crocker-esque history as utility guy/always ready when called up guy, added to his performance last night, that Lewis-Harris may find a way into that DB room come next Sunday.

It sucks since there's so many guys I'd love to find a spot for that I'm worried won't make it to the PS (Wilder/Watson/DeShawn Williams/Kumerow/Carter/Troy Hill) if you don't get them on the 53, but I guess that's the issue of being a good deep team. Not a bad problem to have. We will see tomorrow.

Carter or Shawn Williams can play LB if we get that thin and a large portion of the game we only have 2 out there.

I had high hopes for Uzomah, but he has shown absolutely nothing

QB- AJ McCarron, Andy Dalton (2)

RB- Jeremy Hill, Gio Bernard, Rex Burkhead, Cedric Peerman (4)

WR- AJ Green, Marvin Jones, Mo Sanu, Greg Little, Brandon Tate, Mario Alford (6)

TE- Tyler Eifert, Tyler Kroft, Ryan Hewitt + Uzomah (4)

OL- Andrew Whitworth, Clint Boling, Russell Bodine, Kevin Zietler, Andre Smith, Eric Winston, TJ Johnson - I hope we replace with waiver wire or a trade, Jake Fisher, Dan France out, Trey Hopkins (9)

DL- Carlos Dunlap, Geno Atkins, Domata Peko, Michael Johnson, Pat Sims, Wallace Gilberry, Chris Carter moved to LB, DeShawn Williams (To PS), Margus Hunt, Will Clark, Add Hardison (9)

LB- AJ Hawk, Rey Maualuga, Vincent Rey, Emanual Lamur, PJ Dawson, Carter (6)

DB- Leon Hall, Dre Kirkpatrick, Adam Jones, Darqueze Dennard, Josh Shaw, Tony Hill (PS) replace Harris Lewis (think that his name), Reggie Nelson, George Iloka, Shawn Williams, Derron Smith (10)

ST- Clark Harris, Kevin Huber, Mike Nugent (3)

I think Carter is a LB and not a DE so he is 6th LB

I see the Bengals trading a DL today or in the morning prior to final cuts. I can see Still making the this team now and thought he had no shot 2 weeks ago

I think either we keep 4 TE's or 7 LB so last spot down to Flowers or Uzomah (feel they will pick one they feel they can get to the PS which may be Flowers as he got nicked last night)

I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

My predictions (modifed from bfine's roster):
+ a TE (probably Uzomah), - an OL (Hopkins or France)
+ a backup center (probably), - the other OL above
- Greg Little (maybe), + Wilder, with whichever one of these two makes it tenuously hanging on as the Bengals ponder the waiver wire receiver depth over the next few days
list Carter at LB
+ Hardison and B.Thompson, - two of D.Williams, M.Hunt, or T.Hill

I like the way you're thinking.  We need to keep Carter on this team.

Yeah, Still picked it up these last couple of games and might just have done enough to stick around.

I'm thinking they will keep an extra LB.

I can't wait to see how it shakes out.

You're absolutely right, it's nice to have a ton of guys like that: Burkhead at RB/WR, Shaw at CB/S, Leon at CB/S, Carter, Winston, Hewitt, et. al.

But I think given how bad the front 7 got worked last year, whether due to injury or lack of depth, I see them over correcting. Plus there are at least 2 spots that will be held tenetively until Obgeuhi and Burfict come back, making these decisions even tougher.

I will admit I overlooked Hardison (I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing).

I don't think I've seen Carter do anything at LB all preseason; however, I have seen him do plenty as a down lineman.

I don't care if we slot him as the backup kicker as long as they find a spot

I think they'll cut Hunt and Peerman may be on chopping block as well.

Peerman reminds me of Kyries Hebert. Is his ST play enough to warrant a roster spot? I would say seeing Greg Little out there on STs may be a sign.

Peerman is a very good ST player and he showed me last night he still has speed. It would be a huge mistake to cut Peerman.

As for Hunt, like I said earlier, he was creating havoc (in the backfield) the entire game so at a minimum, he makes our team or his trade value went up in my opinion because if we did cut him, he would be scooped up by a team quickly, I could see both the Ravens and Steelers go after him as he would fit well in a 3-4 defense in my opinion because he is so strong and the job in a 3-4 is to occupy blockers and hold the LOS

Exactly!!!  As long as we keep him and use him to get pressure on the QB, that's what we need.

And with hawk/rey being able to play all spots it allows us to go light. i think.

agree on uzomah.

While a ball hawk (smith) its possible they keep keo due to special teams and being able to play the role mays did last year.

Right, question is does Peerman's ST's value rate a roster spot over someone, (Wilder) who's younger and may be able to contribute more on all downs. We don't want to wear Hill out early and Gio has me a little concerned.

It's not about hating on Peerman, dude is pretty good overall. But does pretty good make it ?

And I don't think Hunt offers enough to cut a younger possibly better player to hope the light comes on with him. He has no technique besides the overpowering bulrush. And when he gets there he doesn't know what to do, his football instincts are weak.

Of course the word loyalty will reign supremem over performance, and they'll cut Carter. I just don't get it why we can't find a use for a "specialist" type player. Who gives a fu*k that he can't cover a LB...so, just blitz him, another team finds a way to use him and get him double digit sacks..

I really like Deshawn Williams he has looked very good in his few snaps, but with Gillberry and Hunt both sliding inside to rush the passer seems to me the best idea is to try to slide him to the Practice Squad and carry an extra 1-tech. Which would be Hardison which I guess you missed lol.

Carter needs to make it.... i think.

Now he does have some negs to be coached out... Lining up offsides is bad.

And i dont know if he was trying to disguise himself as a linebacker that one play but it sure confused Hunt..... and cost us a time out.
