I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

I'm not sure if it's really likely, but it wouldn't surprise me. Especially after they flip flopped him and Dunlap.

Rep to all that picked MJ, but I might consider Shaw or Hewitt more surprising

I think Shaw might be the biggest surprise. At least for me.

Dan Bailey. Does that count? (Should we sign this guy? Seriously. He's only 30, and has done pretty well from what I know.)

But really, I'd say I disagree with the Hewitt cut the most. As for MJ, I've hung out with him for a few hours before, and he's a fantastic human being. I can't deny that his play these past few years have frustrated me, but it still hurt a bit to see him go.

Maybe so, but a lot of people didn't think we'd cut a guy like MJ this late. It's just another way the Bengals have gotten away from the status quo this year. Props to them.

K Russell by far, esp as thin as we are at CB in a passing dominated league

Michael Johnson would be the biggest surprise to me, simply cause it's not Mr Brown's style to cut a player of his caliber this late in the Pre-Season and it would violate his ethics code of signing and getting fully paid on your contract.

He either gave Marvin A TON more control, or Katie and Tobin are really running things at this point. So many un-Mike like things going on these days (other than keeping Marvin).

I really hope they're able to get Hewitt back, but I doubt it.  He no longer fits their philosophy.  But I wish he did.  He's a heck of a player and fits the bruising run game mentality I want this team to have

Yep, Mike "Professional Sports' All-time Worst Owner" Brown is fading away, making room for common sense.

It's been a gradual fading away though.

Michael Johnson WILL be back. Mike Brown will have his say and presence be known. I wouldn't celebrate just yet.

I must have missed this one.  Very surprised.  He is, apparently, a poor practice player that turns it on during a game.  I guess that is better than the other way around, but I found it strange that the Chiefs cut him as a third round pick a few years ago...and he seems to be a guy everyone likes.  Worked his ass off to finish his degree at ND.  Good luck to him.

I have said for several years that it hasn't been Mike.  It is Katie, Troy, and Marvin with Duke having a strong voice when it comes to talent acquisition.
