Cutdown day 2018 - FINAL 53 & Practice Squad are set
#61
Our depth at corner after the first three is pretty iffy. Then again, I guess that helps the young guys get better quicker. Then too, if the new DC really does play a lot of 3 safety sets, maybe you can afford to be green at your CB position.

I bet Marvin hates it though. Just a guess.

QB Christian Hackenberg will be signed to practice squad per Kat Terrell retweet https://twitter.com/MikeGarafolo/status/1036321406412312577

He was just released by the Eagles http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/24536055/philadelphia-eagles-release-qb-christian-hackenberg

I dont know what the Bengals see in him to be honest.

Id rather have Jones instead of that former Penn St. scrub they brought in. Dont know if Jones is ps eligible tho. But I completely forgot that Hackenberg was a 2nd rounder by the Jets, terrible draft pick by them.

I mocked teams for picking up Hackenberg a league wide (mostly) joke... He and Goodwin are head scratchers.

@MikeGarafolo

QB Christian Hackenberg is signing with the #Bengals practice squad, source says. He goes way back with Bill Lazor and has some experience with Jim Haslett, who was a consultant at Penn State in 2015.

That explains the Hack signing.

If our PS QB ever sees a playing field we are already in trouble regardless of who he is

True but at same time I'd hope the ps qb could develop into a potential backup someday. Hackenberg though might be the worst preseason quarterback since he was drafted, which is why is now on his 4th team already.

Then again, maybe Marvin brought him in to give the defense some quality practice for interceptions.

Yup I get that but at least you'd think they'd want somebody they have a shot of developing ? Albeit a long one.

Hackenberg isn't even an super extreme long shot. He's flat out awful !

Could be a big mistake, dude has skills.

One of the very few that could be a mistake this year. Overall really happy with all the moves though for once. Smirk

Did we move anyone to that IR, can return list? I thought Core would be an option for this freeing up another spot
