Fanspeak Mock?
#1
I don't know what Fanspeak is doing., but look how many 6th round picks we got:

ROUND 1
13: R1P13  LB DEVIN WHITE LSU

Maybe a generational LB. Great speed and smarts. An obvious need, filled by an obvious pick.

ROUND 2
45: R2P13  OT GREG LITTLE MISSISSIPPI

Best OT available at this point. Another obvious need

ROUND 3
76: R3P12  G BEAU BENZSCHAWEL WISCONSIN

Unlike some of you, I don't have confidence in Redmund or Westerman. This guy's going to be a great NFL guard.

ROUND 4
115: R4P13  LB T.J. EDWARDS WISCONSIN

Edwards is the coverage LB we've lacked for how long?

ROUND 5
152: R5P13  TE DAX RAYMOND UTAH STATE

Solid football player. He's no Eifert, but he's a very good blocker and had success catching the ball even though he didn't have alot of talent around him.

ROUND 6
188: R6P13  C TYLER BIADASZ WISCONSIN

Price looks bad. Tyler BAD ASS would be a certain upgrade.

197: R6P22  WR HUNTER RENFOW CLEMSON

Great hands. Works well out of the slot. If we don't take him, the Patriots will.

212: R6P37   P JAKE BAILEY STANFORD

Meh-Huber looks like he's about done. This kids hits 50 yard punts like it's no body's business.

214: R6P39  QB GARDNER MINSHEW WASHINGTON STATE

Biggest reason to draft Minshew? Jeff Driskel.

216: R6P41   RB DEXTER WILLIAMS NOTRE DAME

Good size. Good speed. Good back up for Mixon.

ROUND 7
229: R7P13  LB GARY JOHNSON TEXAS

His stock is rising, and he might not fall this far, but he's be interesting to throw into the mix at LB.

I know this draft is lacking in an area or two (D-Line & CB), but I did my best with what Fanspeak gave me. I have no idea how we get 5 6th rounders. We could use them though.
Today I'm TEAM SEWELL. Tomorrow TEAM PITTS. Maybe TEAM CHASE. I can't decide, and glad I don't have to.

It's expected the Bengals will get three 6th round comp picks.

As for the draft itself, early part looks fine. I have a hard time believing a 6th round C would be a "certain" upgrade over a recent 1st round pick at C just a year ago. Price is inexperienced at the position, but he was projected as a 1st-to-2nd round pick across the board for a reason. He is expected to become a very good player in the NFL. At least wait a couple more years before you write him off.
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Love first three picks. Instant improvement on team. Like how you doubled OL and LB’er in first four picks. As a resident of the city of Madison WI, whose watched each Badger game, I have to disagree about TJ. Dude is a thumper and good tackler but is slow. Saw him get beat each week due to being slow and taking bad angles. Reminds me of Rey M. - feel good about them being in first down but not after that. Those WI OL are good. Not sure the Center would be instant upgrade over Price but if they are there in the 6th, I’d take any of them and expect them to beat out Redman and maybe Chesterman.
