Bengals request interviews with Josh McDaniels, Zac Taylor & Shane Waldron

Taylor as an OC is interesting to me. Not sure the Rams would release him to be an OC but would be interesting if we do land Bienemy.

With Simmons and Lazor reportedly interviewed yesterday, it looks like Hue could get his today:

The fact that they are even interviewing a guy who has a career .205 winning percentage is just insane to me.

There are also reports that Hue could be a candidate to join Zimmer as OC.

Hopefully it's an exit interview.

Yeah, show him where the door is and see if he can successfully navigate the exit.  Whatever

http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/1993-09-27/sports/9309270294_1_bieniemy-arrest-report-lot-attendant

ERIC BIENIEMY, a San Diego Chargers running back and former Colorado football star, was arrested for investigation of harassing a parking lot attendant at the University of Miami-Colorado University game on Saturday. Less than an hour later, one of Bieniemy's party was arrested for investigation of hitting a witness during the incident, an arrest report said

Bieniemy, 24, and Calvin Lucas Graham, 27, of Denver were taken to Boulder County Jail.

Bieniemy also was named in an outstanding warrant on a charge of driving with a suspended license. He was released Saturday on $400 bond.
'
The arrest report outlined the incident: Bieniemy was with five friends in a parking lot when he allegedly approached a lot attendant from behind and grabbed her by the neck. The victim told police the contact was not painful, but it startled her. She said the man also made comments while holding her.

''She stated that the male who grabbed her said something about 'a bunch of black males all at once being her worst nightmare,' '' according to the report.

The victim told police the group of men then dropped their pants and began urinating nearby.

She then contacted another attendant, who began to follow the group.

That attendant radioed in to his office that the men were urinating in public and pouring beer on cars. A Colorado police officer stopped Bieniemy's group and the attendant who said she was harassed identified Bieniemy.

Later, the second attendant told police that the same group of men, minus Bieniemy, approached him as he sat in a parking management vehicle and hit him on the right side of the face while raising questions about what he had seen earlier. Two other parking attendants identified Graham as the man who struck the attendant.

Bieniemy had frequent brushes with the law while a student at the university. The most notable occurred July 4, 1990. Bieniemy pleaded no contest in an incident in which he was accused of shoving a firefighter who had responded to his mother's house in Denver to douse a garage fire. Bieniemy received an eight-month suspended sentence. He also was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and assaulting a man at a Boulder nightclub, among other incidents.

Here's to hoping he grew past the mischief he took part in, in his younger days.  He's had plenty of time to live it down, so I'm not going to hold it against him.  Heck, I'm sure that if you dug enough, you could find an astounding number of incidents involving college football players, particularly back in the days before political correctness took over, and drunken antics by football players was pretty much expected.

Hey I'm glad we're interviewing these young offensive minds and trying to catch some of that McVay surf, but call me old-fashioned/conservative, I'd just really love for the team to hire a true alpha-dog coach, the anti-Marvin.

That Pittsburgh playoff meltdown was an indictment of our whole team culture. Inmates running the asylum, a train wreck in slow motion. I have never felt more embarrassed as a fan watching meathead supreme Mike Munchak and dumbo henchman Joey Porter troll our players into losing the game. If we had had a coach that truly has control over his lockerroom, I don't think that happens. Burfict and Jones were ticking time bombs and they went off at the worst possible time.

Moreover, the North is a tough, physical division that is usually won in cold-weather games down the stretch. I'd like to have a coach who can exert his will to get the defense and the line play up to a really high level. We've been soft/pushovers for too long and it would be so satisfying to see this team become the most physical and tenacious team in the division.

Not sure who would fit the bill among the current crop of candidates, but I did think about Dan Campbell and Jack Del Rio. I think either of them would have gotten in Munchak's face after the game and at the very least had some real choice words for him. I don't know if Bienemy is kind of a fiery guy or if he's more retiring/mellow. Taylor and Waldron both seem like pretty clinical kinda guys-- nothing wrong with that if you're getting results. Honestly I'm with so many other Bengal fans-- I don't even care about playoffs and Super Bowls so much as just making the Squealers our b*tch.

What?

No.

Super Bowl should always be the goal. If you’re consistently winning in the playoffs and having a legitimate shot at championships, beating the Steelers will come automatically.

If we lost both games to Pittsburgh every season but won Super Bowls it wouldn’t matter if we lost to them.

Do “so many other bengals fans” really feel the same as you? If so, shame on them.

How could Josh McDaniels actually be a candidate? The guy who wouldn't leave his supposed succession to HC for the Patriots to coach Andrew Luck and the Colts is going to come here? I don't get it.

Well he turned down our interview request so apparently he isn't now.

Crazy thing is, no one else seems to want him. Green Bay is his only other interview and they’re not going to hire him.

I'm not too broken up over McDaniels turning down an interview...his stint in Denver was meh and he flaked on the Colts.  Never expected him to be much of a serious candidate in Cincy so at least he not wasting their time.  If guys like Bienemy and Zac Taylor turn down interviews with Bengals, then I'll start getting worried.

We will get what is left after every other he position is filled. So looks like a
Past bengals assistant is going to get it. New England OC won’t even come for inter view. It wanted to be tainted. It that like him but won’t even interview
