Maybe Bieniemy is the guy who wanted Kubiak (would've made sense to have a former HC to help Bieniemy get acclimated).

Seeing how we're letting assistants go, we're still sitting here waiting, and Bieniemy is barely able to hide his excitement, my money is now on Bieniemy.

You may be right.  Kubiak would have been helpful IMO.  I am curious who will be the defensive coordinator.  Maybe Williams.  I personally thought Lewis did a fine job but want him and Hue far away from the team.

Bieniemy could also explain why we interviewed Gregg Williams twice. Not for the HC vacancy, but to be Bieniemy's DC and possible assistant HC (Williams has 3.5 years of HC experience).

That would be a fantastic move (both Bieniemy and Williams) IMO.

I agree!  Williams would also make the Brown's games interesting.

It is hard to believe that one person could stave off the spirits of so many Bengal fans for almost 30 FREAKING YEARS!

It’s a new FO apparently. Happy retirement MB!

I’d rather have Del Rio over Williams, but alas no rumors there.

Mike has always understood (extreme) loyalty and nepotism. What he's never cared about is doing any catering whatsoever to his fans/customers. Especially if it conflicts with his deeply held values. Many owners understand the public service aspect of owning a team. The affects a team can have on a city. Mike has always been ignorant to this and/or doesn't care.

Art Modell supposedly did his father wrong 55 years ago, and by golly he will never fire a coach if he can help it. It's a very selfish stance that ignores how the NFL works and how stagnancy/complacency can affect a fan base. Thankfully, it looks like Katie/Troy have ever-increasing roles in decision making.

And not thinking or acting like her father.  What  a relief.

Amen to that.  Yes

Btw, is it just me, or is Bieniemy such a refreshing interview compared to Marv?

He looks like a cheerful easy guy to be around, but also exudes a calm confidence.

Bieniemy is the antithesis of Lewis in terms of openness, communication, candor.  Reporters will love him I think so will the players.

Bieniemy sure sounded like a guy about to make a move. Does that put him in Miami?

He sure did.  Confusing really but maybe Miami will be his spot.
