We got OT J. Williams from Bama who is #1 ranked OL in the draft
I am so ready for 2024 season. I love pro football and hoping for a great Bengals year. Regardless, always remember it is a game and entertainment.

If I had to guess ZT and the rest of the braintrust understood that the LB group had good stuff at the very top but was not very deep. Just look at the Stealers giving up a ransom to move up to grab Bush who was rated an okay starter but nothing exceptional. So once White was gone they targeted Jonah Williams quite correctly.
If they do decide to go Mack Wilson I'll be cool with it even though I personally would rather have Cody Ford - yes I want to keep reaping from a deep OL group to finally get the OL on the right trajectory.

Man, what do they do if Ford, McCoy, or Taylor is sitting there at 11? Would be awfully tempting to load up a position group that's been a weakness for 3 seasons. Not going to lie, linebacker situation aside, I'd be pretty stoked if we came out of rounds 1 and 2 with Jonah and Ford. That would be a crazy good rebuild of the right side of the line and set them up for the next half decade up front. It would more or less lay the foundation for the Zac Taylor era in the trenches.
Other guys I'd like are:
DreMont Jones
Parris Campbell
Mack Wilson
Vosean Joseph
AJ Brown
Greedy Williams
As for the LB situation, one factor to be considered is the remaining free agency options. Zach Brown and Jamie Collins are still on the street. Derron Lee is still likely to be cut or traded before the season. The Bengals have already missed out on the 2 guys that could have dramatically improved the group in the draft, through no fault of their own. I wouldn't draft for the need if there's a better rated player on the board. Way too many needs on this team to lock in on one spot.

Exactly. If that falls into your lap, you take it all day long.

Have they not invented the internet in Wisconsin yet?

I think it lines up great. Six excellent O-lineman, two good corners. 3-4 good DEs, a couple top QBs, linebackers are deep later on. Wilson, Joseph, and Pratt would be solid at LB in two or three. At tight end, Irv Smith and Have Sternberger are available as well.

To be fair, if we draft a couple of LBs in the 3-5 range, it would help a lot. Our starters aren't great by any stretch, but they weren't on the field much, either.
The thing that really killed the group was the overall poor caliber of the depth. Hardy sucks on a whole different level. Evans isn't a guy you want to run out there for a high number of snaps. Jefferson was a 3rd rounder on a team riddled with injuries, and the staff was still petrified to have him on the field.
They may not get starters (or they may), but they can still do a hell of a lot to fix the depth at linebacker without blowing earlier picks reaching with the 2 Devins gone.
Just get Hardy Nickerson the hell off of this roster. I never want to see him playing significant snaps in a Bengal uniform again.

Well hopefully the starting Oline will be as follows
LT-Glenn
LG-Boling- or Risner/Ford etc
C-Hopkins
RG-Price
RT-Williams
We can still use a Olineman in the 2nd or 3rd. The board is pretty much open. Williams can play all positions and rumor is he may be best at Center. Price may be better at Guard. We can take another OT, G or C and we will be miles ahead of last year. Well with the Oline at least. I'm hoping for Taylor ( unless he stabbed someone and we just don't know yet) Ford and my favorite Risner. If one of these guys are there with our 2nd pick we should pull the trigger and fix this damn line once and for all. No more excuses for Dalton either.
There are plenty of LBers that are better than what we have. We just need to work the draft, makes some moves to get this defense in better shape.

Why would you give up on Price already? He was injured most of last year. I'm not thrilled with ignoring other positions by taking another lineman in the 2nd, but it'd be more like this:
LT- Williams, Glenn, Hart
LG - Boling, Glenn,
C - Price, Hopkins
RG - Ford/Risner, Miller
RT - Glenn, Ford/Risner, Hart

Some are afraid of a repeat of the 2015 Draft. You know OG and Fisher so of course we should never ever draft back to back OT's in the first and 2nd. Yet halfway threw the season the same will be bitching about a piss poor Oline, we had our chance. I know we need LBers but we have got to have a good Oline, in today's NFL it really is all about the offense. Anyone really think Watson, Geoff, even the kid in KC. These guys are lighting it up and breaking records. These guys aren't even in the same league as Montana, Marino, Manning. It's just the way the game and rules are in today's NFL. Fix the Oline in the first 2 rounds, work on the D the rest of the draft.

Exactly. That's just silly to move him. Price has the ability to be a really good NFL Center. As a guard, he's just a guy

Oh I'm not giving up on him at all. Just think he's a better Guard, and Hopkins played just as good as Price at C. No disrespect intended to Price at all. Also I wanted Williams at LT but I just dont see them starting him there right away.

There's also a C still on the board that's not bad McCoy, could be an option as well.

Maybe we take a chance on Ferguson in round 2 who knows. Still would prefer another top Olineman then we can focus on that horrible D pretty much the rest of the way other than maybe a TE. I even think our WR's we already have except Ross ( just done with him till he gets some damn confidence) will be better with a revamped line.

I thought the Wisconsin legislature banned all internet and rational thinking or at least until they're voted out of office and even then have tried to legislate voting them out of office illegal.. IDK..I'm not trying to sidetrack this into some political debate. I just couldn't help myself.
Anyway...Something in me likes Parris Campbell and the old lady here likes the name since her son is also called Parris.. No wait..It's Parish.. I better not tell her I got his name wrong. Nice guy though and can fly airplanes..
Jeeeez..I need some sleep.. I'm all over the place here..
Parris Campbell @ 2 anyone?
