I hope Sample turns out to be a steal who provides stout blocking with Heath Miller-like receiving skills. Still seems like a 1-3 round reach. I liked Kahale Warring more than any of the remaining TE’s.

People are claiming he's a 4th-6th round talent, which is all about Sample the player. Because he's perceived as a "reach", I wonder if he'll get a fair shot, as a player.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

Take another OL if you have to keep trying to improve the run game. Trade up a little and grab one of those high-caliber OL that were still on the board. There is no justification for this pick. None. Even if he does turn out to be as good on a non-descript blocking TE as he can be, you still could have had this guy later.
Whatever. We’ve made our peace with so much shit over the years. What’s one more log?
If you see something suspicious, say something suspicious.

Not sure how it's going to work out. But I'd guess Wample will be our starting TE. Quote:the 6-4, 255-pound Sample, all-conference the last two years and academic all-conference the last three. Another “1’ character guy in the wake of first-round pick Jonah Williams, Sample runs a 4.7-second 40-yard and has “sneaky speed and quickness,” according to Ourlads Scouting Services.
Today I'm TEAM SEWELL. Tomorrow TEAM PITTS. Maybe TEAM CHASE. I can't decide, and glad I don't have to.

It's like running to the Christmas tree to find a Turbo Grafix 16...or something. To be fair, it was Turner who gushed over Bobby "the passion" Hart, not Taylor. With that said, it reminds me of a favorite movie called "A Christmas Story" when that kid wanted the BB gun i think Red Ryder. Sample is this years Red Ryder. -Paul Brown “When you win, say nothing. I called that Dolphins trade down then trade for Rosen, for what it's worth.

It's not about the player per se - it is everyone reading draft sites (which is all we have) and seeing grades of 4th round or lower. To me we did reach as you could make bank Sample would be there next round. Meanwhile we have a desperate situation at LB that is unaddressed. I know we are supposed to trust the coaches and so far ZT seems an improvement. But the trust line on ANY Bengal decision makers is extremely short because of the sorry past.

That dude has no clue honestly, just like everyone else here. We have no idea how NFL teams are ranking guys, this idea that we traded back and missed out on all the guys we wanted is nonsense with no evidence to back it up, same with people claiming hed be on the board 1-3 rounds from now. I dont love the pick but all these people claiming they know what the Bengals or any other NFL team were gonna do are just full of shit.

I don't mind, it's all coach-speak BS, but it's funny he says Hart is great and then we want him being a pseudo-GM for us. |
