Letter: Bengals coach Zac Taylor's Draft Day apparel appalling
#21
Somebody needs to grow up, but it’s not Coach Taylor.

When people say that Bengals fans will complain about anything, this is what they mean. This is definitely the stupidest thing I will read all day.

Who cares? As others have said Bill Belichick doesn’t get dressed up. Pete Carroll didn’t even bother to wear a shirt, and I don’t remember Marv ever looking particularly well at post draft interviews. If anything he always looked a little disheveled and exhausted. I never once thought that was the reason he was a mediocre HC.

Ehh, this is no big deal but I have to admit wed probably be laughing and predicting the fall of an empire if the Steelers hired a millenial HC who didn't dress up.

Also, I think Bellichick wears suits and would wear one on game day like an old school coach but the NFL rules say he has to wear NFL apparel do he picks the slobbiest stuff out of protest.

I doubt that I would notice it while looking at the picture.

Now that it's pointed out, I will say that typically coaches do dress up. Me? I'd probably be dressed casual too.

You're doing that Fred thing where you lump everyone together for the sake of convenience, but we shouldn't let one idiot represent people who share legitimate concerns and criticisms. Opinions coming from those folks come off as far more genuine and trustworthy than those who defend every move, or act like anyone who complains (other than themselves) are just haters.

ThumbsUp

As for the OP, this is maybe the dumbest complaint I've ever heard.

Sean Peyton in a post-draft presser (gasp! he didn't even button all the way up!):

And anyway, who cares!? It’s not like Zac was wearing a stained GAP t-shirt with rips and tears all over it. The oversensitive crybaby who wrote that letter really needs to get a grip Whatever

Marvin has worn a collared shirt (no tie) and a sport coat in recent draft press conferences.

Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins
Zac Taylor 2023: 9 wins despite losing Burrow half the season
Zac Taylor 2024: Started 1-4. If he can turn this into a playoff appearance, it will be impressive.

Sorry for Party Rocking!

Andy looks like he's ready to go to a take a trip to a coastal town in the summer. Or maybe go boating.

I was referring to Taylor's accommodation to Williams and other players.  Of course the Baby Boomer would be miffed and stiff.

If Marvin dressed like GQ, I want Taylor to dress a beggar down on 5th street.
