WEEK 5 Complete (Well Almost) Everything but the steelers and overall standings has been updated in Post 1

So far This week the AFCN has seen 2 games with 1 to go tonight. Both games played yesterday went to OVERTIME!!!!...
Ravens taking on their 3rd straight divisional contest against the Browns
And the Bengals Welcoming the Seahawks to Town.

Both of these games were so close and exciting it took more than 4 quarters to finish them.

Browns and Bengals both WIN by Field goals in Overtime. I didnt see all of the Browns game but the Bengals came back from a 17 point deficit against the #2 passing Defense. in the 4th Qtr. to take it to OT while the Browns had a TE catch the ball with his legs.

the Browns improved to 2-3 Dropping the Ravens to 1-4 (and 0-2 at home i believe)
Bengals improved to 5-0

Steelers are waiting to play San Diego tonight on the West Coast.

Here are your overall Divison Standings after 3 weeks

Total Division Compared to other Divisions
11-6-0* -- AFCE 1st (3/4 Bye Weeks Completed)
12-7-0* -- NFCS 2nd (1/4 Bye Weeks Completed)

Broncos vs @Browns
Ravens vs @49ers

Week 6 sends the Bengals East to Buffalo (where they go 6-0)
The Cardinals come to Heins Field Where Palmer vs Pitt again
Old Man Peyton visits the surprising decent browns
And the Ravens vs the 49ers in a repeat of a SB not long ago although this time its to end a season early as both are 1-4

Predition 2-2 Bengals And Ravens notch the wins..

Although i could see the browns pull one out and the steelers are home are tough but the Cardinals are too good right now.

Well Week 6 is over....

the Browns faced off vs Denver and nearly took down the broncos in a game that went to overtime... Browns lost however and sit at 2-4

The steelers faced off against the Cardinals and once again had CPs number... Steelers win with their 3rd string QB Cards starting to look like pretenders..

The Bengals took on the Bills and got their 2nd ever win in buffalo dispite a little snow and some wondering cameras in the lockerroom after are the only headlines

The Ravens faced another 1-4 team in the 49ers... And this time the 49ers won and the ravens seem to be competeting for the #1 pick as they are tied for the worst record in the league. (Ouch)

Overall the divisions rank as follows

Total Division Compared to other Divisions (thru 6 weeks)
14-07-0* -- AFCE 1st (3/4 Bye Weeks Completed)
14-08-0* -- NFCS 2nd (2/4 Bye Weeks Completed)
13-11-0* -- AFCN 3rd (0/4 Bye Weeks Completed) *Bengals bye week 7
12-11-0* -- NFCN 4th (1/4 Bye Weeks Completed) *Packers & Bears Bye week 7
11-12-0* -- AFCW 5th (1/4 Bye Weeks Completed) *Broncos Bye week 7
10-13-0* -- NFCW T-6th (1/4 Bye Weeks Completed)
10-13-0* -- NFCE T-6th (1/4 Bye Weeks Completed)
07-16-0* -- AFCS 8th (1/4 Bye Weeks Completed)

Week 7

Bengals are taking a week off.... (along with 2 other undefeated teams) and looking forward to pittsburght in week 8

Meanwhile the rest of the AFCN is busy.

The ravens are taking on the cardinals... and with their secondary it could be a blowout loss.... Cardinals to win.

The Steelers are traveling to KC who is having trouble winning games maybe a 3rd string QB is the answer.. KC Wins(i hope lol)

The Browns are facing the Rams.... Ill give the edge to the Browns as the rams only seem interested in playing the NFCW

Standings updated for week 7

Week 7 Recap

Week 7 saw the bengals take a break from their winning ways and take the week off...

It also saw the rest of the AFCN drop the ball...

Ravens lost to the Cardinals on MNF
Browns got beat up by the Rams
And the Steelers Lost in Kansas City to the Cheifs (going 2-2 without Big ben which isnt that bad)

First post has been completely updated... And here is something

After 7 weeks we have 10 weeks left Bengals have 10 games everyone else in the AFCN 9 games left.
Magic number is calculated by Wins by the Div leader (bengals) or loss by that team
Ravens are 6 games behind (by loss column) with 9 left Magic number is 4 to eliminate from Division Crown
Browns are 5 games behind (by loss column) with 9 left Magic number is 5 to eliminate from Division Crown
Steelers are 3 games behind (by loss column) with 9 left Magic number is 7 to eliminate from Division Crown
I might have calculated 1 to high here just to play it save.

**************

On to Week 8 all 4 teams are in action but in only 3 contest as we get another AFCN Showdown

The Bengals @ Steelers will be the matchup of the week for the AFCN. If the Bengals win it basically gives us another 2 game cushion on the Steelers And gives us our first ever 7-0 start in franchise history and ties our longest win streak of 7 games.

The Browns Get a visit from the Cardinals and Carson Palmer. in what could turn to a shootout But whos the Browns QB this week

The Ravens Get a Visit from the Chargers.... This will be bad OL (chargers) vs Bad Secondary (Ravens) it will be interest to see if the Ravens can finally turn the corner.

Predicted Winner(s)... Only the Bengals.

Week 8 Recap... (All week 8 has been updated in the first post except MNF for divisional standings which wont affect the first and last place divisions much)

Well Week 8 has come and gone...

The Browns battle the Cardinals and Lost Dropping cleveland to 2-6 on the season and their Starting QB is now banged up

The Ravens Battled the Chargers... And came up with some last second heroics taking their 2nd win of the season... While losing steve smith (apparently 12 chargers left that game hurt)

The Division also saw the Bengals vs the Steelers in about 3 hours of sloppy football... It was raining flags and INTS Dalton threw 2 picks and Ben threw 3... In the End the Bengals did just enough to Win and go 7-0 for the First time in their history.

WHODEY

The Ravens game vs the Chargers was the Final game for the Chargers vs the AFCN... The Chargers finished 1-3 vs the Division with the 1 win coming against the Browns....

*************************

Onto Week 9

Week 9 will only feature 2 games. As the Ravens are taking the week off after a hard fought win.

Those games will be the Raiders visiting the Steelers to wrap up their(Raiders) Tour of the AFCN for the year.

And this Thursday will feature the Battle of Ohio. As the Browns (and maybe Manziel) come to Cincinnati for Thrusday night football.. As the bengals look to go 8-0 for the first time ever.. While also breaking the Franchises longest win streak of 7 games.
(this game was a nightmare for us last year hopefully a repeat isnt on the books)

With the way the teams are playing ... Ill take the Bengals over the Browns and the Raiders over the Steelers.

Week 9 Is complete....

This week we Didnt see the Ravens as they stayed home....

We witnessed the Browns vs the Bengals in Cincinnati... Where Dalton made Eifert the league leader in TD catches. as the Bengals continue on to 8-0 winning 31-10

And then there was a Shootout in Pittsburgh.. with the steelers barely topping the raiders 38-35 on a last second field goal...

With that match the AFCN is done with the Raiders who finished 2-2 against the division...

**************************

Onto week 10...

This week we have 1 divisional Contest as the Browns head to Pittsburgh to try and take down the steelers. (without big ben)

And we see the end of the AFCN vs AFCS contest as the
Texans visit the 8-0 Bengals
And the
Jaguars visit the Ravens.

AFCN Predictions... Steelers over the Browns / Bengals over the Texans And the Jags over the Ravens

Also the first post has been updated for week 9... also is the link in my sig

Quick Weekend Recap...

Browns vs Steelers and their 3rd string QB... well the browns knocked the 3rd stringer out so Ben came in... and that was the END for cleveland.

The Ravens decided they dont want to win and give the jags a prefect setup for a game winning field goal.

The bengals havent played yet. but soon soon.....

A win tonight by the Bengals Eliminates the Browns from the AFCN Title picture i believe.

Other notes from around the league
Minnesote takes the NFCN as the packers drop their 3rd straight
Patriots and Panthers dont lose to stay unbeated...
Manning gets benched..... Might be done for career. depending on how the broncos do without him

****** As always the first post (available via link in my sig) has been updated with everything i can MNF will be added tomorrow.

Next week the last of the BYE weeks for all teams takes place and the Browns and Steelers both get the week off so the Ravens and bengals can catch up on games played.

Next weeks games...

Bengals @ Cardinals
Rams @ Ravens

Ill take the Bengals as the division only winners

Bengals lost their first game on MNF in a defensive slug fest... the highlights of the night included Yellow Flags... 3 Big Drops by last weeks hero Eifert and ended with an AJ green fumble as the bengals are driving late to take the lead.
